We are setting out on a quest to reaching a bigger audience so more people can benefit from high quality supplements designed to nourish, cleanse and build the human body and in so doing help people feel better, look better, sleep better and have more energy. We started out with Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. as a home based business. The products gave such amazing results! We were constantly getting requests to bring the products to Maryville when we made the trip to church on Sundays. Of course that wasn't ideal. We didn't like doing business at church on Sundays (Jesus got mad at some people for that years ago!) or even from the church parking lot, but the people needed the help...

In seeing the need for a store in Maryville - Herbs 'n' Whey opened its doors, that was 25 years ago! Since then, we have continued our studies in natural health; studying iris analysis and Dave has finished his Naturopathic studies. We have helped a lot of people and have seen lots of changes. When we first started, natural health seemed "weird" to many people. One lady, early on, tentatively stuck her head in the door of our store and exclaimed, "Oh! its not funky! It's nice!"

These days, using herbal supplements, vitamins & minerals, and alternative options for health has become the "norm". We are here to help people make the best choices for what they want to work on, both in person and online.

A shocking new study out of Denmark is raising big questions about the safety of tattoos. Researchers followed 2,300 twins to strip away lifestyle and genetic differences — and what they found is hard to ignore.

People with tattoos had a 62% higher risk of skin cancer (excluding basal cell carcinoma). And for those with tattoos larger than the size of a hand, the risks jumped even higher: more than 2.3X higher odds of skin cancer and 2.7X higher odds of lymphoma, a blood cancer.

Scientists believe the reason may be that tattoo ink doesn’t stay in the skin. Tiny pigment particles can travel through the body, build up in lymph nodes and organs, and some inks contain chemicals already flagged as carcinogens.

This doesn’t mean every tattoo will cause cancer — but it’s some of the strongest evidence yet that tattoo size and ink exposure could have long-term health consequences.
