We are setting out on a quest to reaching a bigger audience so more people can benefit from high quality supplements designed to nourish, cleanse and build the human body and in so doing help people feel better, look better, sleep better and have more energy. We started out with Nature's Sunshine Products, Inc. as a home based business. The products gave such amazing results! We were constantly ge

tting requests to bring the products to Maryville when we made the trip to church on Sundays. Of course that wasn't ideal. We didn't like doing business at church on Sundays (Jesus got mad at some people for that years ago!) or even from the church parking lot, but the people needed the help...

In seeing the need for a store in Maryville - Herbs 'n' Whey opened its doors, that was 25 years ago! Since then, we have continued our studies in natural health; studying iris analysis and Dave has finished his Naturopathic studies. We have helped a lot of people and have seen lots of changes. When we first started, natural health seemed "weird" to many people. One lady, early on, tentatively stuck her head in the door of our store and exclaimed, "Oh! its not funky! It's nice!"

These days, using herbal supplements, vitamins & minerals, and alternative options for health has become the "norm". We are here to help people make the best choices for what they want to work on, both in person and online.

GMO Bananas Are Here. Unlabeled. Because, you know... they don't want you to know it's GMO. 👀 We reported on the UK-based biotech company, Tropic, back in 2014 and the company announced that two banana varieties are already in the market, sold in the U.S. and Canada. Since the USDA has deregulated the genetic engineering process of gene-editing and the products produced through gene-editing, these GMO bananas will require no safety testing at all and will not require a "bioengineered" label. Tropic won't even disclose where these GMO bananas are being grown. On top of that, because of the USDA deregulation, the company, or retailers, may even decide to trick you and advertise them as non-GMO. How screwed up is that? It's bananas.

The only way to avoid these GMO bananas will be to buy Certified Organic, Certified Biodynamic, or Non-GMO Project Verified. The Non-GMO Project prohibits gene-editing under its certification standards, so look for the butterfly.
