🌬️ National Let It Go Day – A Gentle Reminder from Blue Chair Counseling

Today is National Let It Go Day—a nudge from the universe (or at least the calendar) to take stock of what we’ve been holding onto… and ask ourselves what’s no longer serving us.

Whether it’s a grudge, a harsh inner voice, unrealistic expectations, or the pressure to be “just fine”—some weight was never ours to carry forever.

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing. It means creating space—for healing, for growth, for peace.

Huge thanks to SoCal Soul in Edwardsville for helping Blue Chair Counseling repot some of our plants and give them a fresh start. Our leafy friends are feeling (and looking!) fabulous now.

🥦 It’s National Eat Your Vegetables Day! But hear us out… this isn’t just about broccoli.

Just like your body needs a variety of nutrients, your mind needs emotional nourishment too. Think of veggies as the mental health equivalent of:
✨ Boundaries (kale—tough, but good for you)
✨ Rest (zucchini—surprisingly versatile)
✨ Saying no (brussels sprouts—underrated powerhouses)
✨ Support systems (sweet potatoes—comforting and steady)

You don’t have to love every “veggie” on your plate. But over time, what you feed your body and your mind can make a big difference in how you feel.
