Myth: Nursing homes are cold, lonely places where people lose their independence.

Fact: At Village Care Center, we believe in living life to the fullest! Our residents enjoy social activities, home-style meals, personalized care, and the comfort of a community that feels like family. Here is a glimpse of our favorite activities. Bingo, dominos, farkle, and coloring! We can’t forget Michelle from Three Rivers hospice. Michelle comes to our facility twice a month. Her first visit of the month is coffee talk and she brings us cinnamon rolls. Her second visit of the month is manicures. She paints the ladies nails shades of purple 💜

Job Posting:

We are looking for a Business Office Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the business office such as, maintaining sound bookkeeping, general ledger, and reporting. We are looking for an organized, reliable, dedicated person that can work as a team.

The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions of the Business Office. The primary responsibilities are maintaining medical billing and cash collections, and the accurate reporting of same to Administration. Major job functions include: Works closely with other facility departments to ensure accurate and timely results; maintains daily census; performs/oversees financial screening process on all new residents and changing payer type; ensures completeness and accuracy of the resident financial files; verify and mail resident statements; produce collection letters in accordance with policy and procedure, ensures documentation of all collection efforts; ensures timely billing of all payer types that will result in payment; ensures integrity of all resident financial data, auditing and adjusting accounts as necessary; manage entire payroll process and submit by given date; oversee employee insurance benefits and timely tax submissions; sees to the completion of all new employee files; attend meetings as required.

Qualifications: · At least 2 years billing and Medicaid/Medicare experience is preferred. ·

This month we are hosting a donation drive for the New Nodaway Humane Society. Items needed include: wet cat/dog food, cleaning items such as mops, cleaners like Fabulosa or Lysol, office supplies such as dry erase markers, pens, and leashes and collars for cats and dogs. Items can be dropped off at Village Care Center front lobby starting this week through August 26th.

Lets come together to support our furry friends while they are waiting for their forever homes.
