“Hailee, our overnight nurse, has been outstanding since my mother was admitted to the ICU. From the first late night and early morning, Hailee got my mother situated and cleaned up. She went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and every step of the process. She spoke to my mother as though she was awake and responsive. She walked through everything going on, her bedside manner was outstanding, and she even made sure to check on us, the family. She made sure my mom was bathed and cleaned and she went above and beyond to brush and untangle my mother’s hair and braid it. She always gave way more than 100%. She is kind, sweet, caring and showed us the value of great nursing.”

Not sure where to go if you don’t feel well? Here are some tips:

-Call your doctor’s office first; if you don’t have a primary care doctor, call our 24/7 Nurse Line at (816) 271-4000

-The Emergency Department is not a COVID-19 testing site

-Only get tested at Urgent Care if you cannot get tested at your doctor’s office or through a pharmacy

-Other COVID-19 testing sites include pharmacies such as Walgreens, Hy-Vee and CVS

Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville expanded wound treatment services this week for patients in northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa with the opening of Mosaic Wound Care - Maryville in the Mosaic Medical Building.

The center provides expanded space for wound care procedures already performed by Mosaic providers. Estella Myrick, APRN, will continue to see patients in the new location and is also accepting new patients. William Kinderknecht, DO, will be a new addition to the Wound Care provider availability.

“The new location of the clinic in the Mosaic Medical Building will allow us to expand treatment,” Myrick said. “Our clinic works closely with Mosaic Life Care at St. Joseph – Wound Care to ensure patients can also receive more intensive services, such as hyperbaric treatment if needed.”

Services provided by the Mosaic Wound Care – Maryville include simple and complex dressing changes, an antimicrobial collagen-based wound matrix, which assists with complicated wounds, chronic wound treatment and patient education in dressing and wound care.

Mosaic Medical Center- Maryville President Nate Blackford said launching this new service meets the needs of many patients in our area who rely on this service to maintain their quality of life.

“We recognize the need to keep this service close to home,” explained Blackford. “We have skilled providers and a quality care team who have dedicated themselves to making this service available because it was the right thing to do for our patients. Treatments provided in our wound care clinic will have a very positive impact on the lives of patients.”

Patients can be referred for wound care services through their primary care provider. Mosaic Wound Care – Maryville is located at 2024 S. Main Street, Suite 104. For questions about services, please call (660) 562-5396.
