The Maryville Police Department would like to make the public aware that there will be an increase in officer presence on West Broadway Avenue/411 S from Montgomery Lane to the city limits. This is in an effort to enhance safety and reduce the number of accidents on this stretch of roadway.
Recent data shows this stretch of roadway is ranked the 2nd highest for number of life altering crashes per mile in our region. This section of the highway was ahead of roadways such as Chapman Highway and Alcoa Highway. Your safety is our top priority, so to enhance the safety of all travelers on this road the Maryville Police Department will be conducting a traffic saturation from September 1st-September 7th.
