We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to join our growing team at Metro East Healthcare Ltd. - a leading Primary Care Practice in Madison County that specializes in providing diagnostic excellence throughout the entire spectrum of Primary Care Medicine.

The Nurse Practitioner is an essential and interactive position that includes working directly with patients and working with the diagnosis and treatment of care.

Job Responsibilities

• Order/perform selected diagnostic tests and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition such as obtaining complete health histories, accurate physical examinations, and administering treatment plans in collaboration with the practicing Physician. The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for initiating treatment for patients with commonly occurring health problems.

Other specific responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner will also include:

• Order/perform selected diagnostic tests and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition
• Prescribe approved medications as outlined by the state regulatory acts
• Instructing individuals and/or families about health or defined health problems as well as communicating the plan of care while maintaining privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment while performing tests, treatments, and procedures
• Use Electronic Health Records (EHR).

In order to be considered for the Nurse Practitioner position, candidates are required to have a Master’s Degree in Nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment. They must also have valid licenses to practice and use the title of Nurse Practitioner within the state. In addition, the NP must also have their current CPR/BCLS certification.

Job Requirements:

• Possess advanced certifications as required by clinical practice area/client
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a caring/professional bedside manor
• Prescriptive authority preferred; DEA number.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, helping with procedures, handling the referrals, and prior authorization process.

Also will rotate to help with the front office, Will be responsible for scheduling/confirming appointments, greeting patients, checking them in and out, and other general administrative duties. Fast learner, with great customer service skills and works well under pressure.

GREAT PEOPLE SKILLS, MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRONIC MEDICAL SYSTEMS.

Multitasking, attention to detail, and organizational skills are a must.

Previous Medical Assistant experience is required. Registered Medical Assistant certification is required as well.
