Here are a few quick tips to keep you injury-free tonight and ready for a strong start to 2026:

✔ Watch your step, especially outdoors
Icy sidewalks, curbs, and driveways are common fall hazards on NYE.

✔ Stay mindful of footwear
Choose supportive shoes if you’ll be walking, standing, or celebrating out and about.

✔ Pace yourself with activity
Whether you’re dancing, walking long distances, or lifting kids and coolers, move with intention to avoid strains.

✔ Hydrate and rest
Your muscles and joints perform better when you’re hydrated (and tomorrow will feel a lot better too).

We would like to extend our gratitude to all attendees of our AgeStrong presentation at the Mascoutah Senior Center. Our physical therapist, Kerri, shared valuable tips on preventing falls at home and safe recovery techniques in the event of a fall. If you have a loved one who may be at risk of falling or if you have experienced a fall yourself, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our AgeStrong service is designed to help patients improve their balance and strength and get back to living without the worry of falling.

Our clinic manager and physical therapist Kerri will be at the Mascoutah Senior Center 4/3 at 11:00 (after Bingo) to talk about fall prevention. All are invited to attend and learn how to prevent falls in your home along with exercises to improve balance. Cookies and pastries will be served and all that attend are welcome to enter our raffle for a coffee themed basket. Hope to see you there!
