👻🎃 Can you believe it’s already time to dust off the Halloween books?! 📚✨
These spooky (but not too spooky 😉) stories are more than just fun—they’re amazing tools we use in speech therapy! 🗣💬
Here’s why we love them:
1️⃣ Repetitive phrases help little ones practice language + articulation (think: “open up!” “put it on!” “boo!”).
2️⃣ They spark inferencing skills—guessing what’s hiding behind the door or what costume an animal might choose.
3️⃣ Sequencing events builds storytelling skills (favorites like Room on the Broom and The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything are perfect for this!).
4️⃣ And rhyming? 🎶 Such an important pre-reading + phonemic awareness skill!
Halloween books aren’t just for giggles—they’re packed with opportunities for growth in communication. 🧡
