It's Purim time! 💜💛 K'vod Connect of Jewish Family Service - Cincinnati had a great time with our residents making hamantaschen cookies to celebrate Purim!

These are triangular shaped cookies filled with a variety of fillings like chocolate chips, cherry or apricot, poppy seed and Nutella. The cookie represents the triangular hat that Haman, the villain, wore and eating them represents the triumph of good over evil, turning a dark story into a sweet celebration.

Our social workers uplift residents and families through compassion and connection, defend dignity and rights through advocacy, and help transform challenging moments into meaningful care experiences. In long-term care, they play a vital role in navigating transitions, supporting emotional well-being, strengthening family communication, and ensuring every resident is treated with respect and understanding.

Joshua Jeyaprakash, an 8th grader from Mason Middle School, brightened Valentine’s Day at Cedar Village by making and delivering 150 handmade Valentine’s cards to our residents, each with a heartfelt message inside! 💌♥️

Walking through our skilled nursing and assisted living units with Anna Beniash, our Guest Relations Coordinator, she was met with countless smiles and hugs from residents who loved her thoughtful gesture. What a wonderful way to spread kindness in our community!
