I believe in GIVING BACK. I have done 7 International Gift of Sight missions. It has been estimated that I have performed an eye exam on 18,000 people outside of the United States. This year I mixed it up and decided instead to be an adult leader on Crossroads Church High School trip to Nicaragua. We dug trenches to provide clean water to people’s homes that have never had it. We poured the foundation for the high school of Amigos for Christ Academy. And we cleared a field and planted turmeric for an individual farmer, more than doubling his annual income.

I am so saddened by the death of my former Receptionist, Diana. She passed away today, Mother’s Day, from a massive stroke yesterday. Please pray for her son. She is seated here in front of Nancy and Angie. 😕

By our young patients, Dr. Snyder has been called “DoctorBoy”, “Dr. Apple Cider”, and “OfficeGuy”. 😂

Years ago…maybe 3 or 4…a patient lost their car key fob in our office. All of us were confused where it could possibly be. We found it Friday behind a frame display. Now…who was it that lost the key? 🙃

ANNOYING EYELID TWITCH???

Does it feel like everyone is staring at you as if you are winking at them? 😂. Thankfully, eyelid twitch, or “myokymia”, is usually way more subtle than it feels. But it is distracting.

Sometimes it indicates that you may need glasses, or an update on your glasses prescription. Sometimes you just need more sleep or ways to control an extra stressful week.

One thing to try is to drink Tonic Water containing Quinine. (Tonic water and diet tonic water come with and without quinine). Quinine is a natural muscle relaxer. Drink an 8 oz glass once or twice a day to help alleviate your twitch (or leg cramp!). Your choice whether you dress it up with lemon or lime or other fruit, or whether you add your adult beverage 😉. It may help to apply a hot compress to your eye, then get a good nights sleep. Yoga or physical exercise will help reduce stress.
