When Louie Armstrong sang this song, it was a gentle act of defiance by a 66 year old black man in America who had lived through Jim Crow, segregation, the Great Depression and was living in tumultuous times. The Vietnam War was dominating headlines, the Civil Rights movement was in full struggle with urban uprisings and Dr Martin Luther King speaking out against not only suppression but against a war causing over 400,000 men and women to be deployed to fight. The threat of nuclear annihilation was real following the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cold War kept the world on the edge of its seat with impeding doom threatening to halt the lives of all.

And still he sang for love.

Sharing the gift of the Ocean Drum to the crowd at The Worlds Largest Sound Bath. It was precious to watch the responses of people (and I walked around and Oceaned about 50 of them) as I waved the drum over heads and bodies. Some laid back and closed their eyes to receive the waves, some sat in meditation, and the babies!!! They reached for it and just stared in awe. The sound is so powerful it kind of blows your mind and takes you right to the oceanside in your mind. It’s like it touches a part of your DNA… well, it does, actually.

The community of LOVE and PEACE is huuuuge. All we have to do is put all of our time and energy creating THERE. Come Join us in the love dimension. It’s a lot of fun. What’s amazing was as I walked around this event. There was every color shape. Size age represented in. Everybody was full of love. You could feel the vibrations in the space, not only of the musical instruments and the frequencies of healing they emit, but the frequencies of the healing energy of the heart space that was so Beautiful.

I made my second Oracle Card in honor of a breathwork journey I had with my shaman counselor, Grandfather Mowgli. I saw all these things and more. And my Ursa healer bear did stick her tongue out at me. Grandfather said she was reminding me to have fun. 🐻❤️
I loved that he always told me to go home and create art to ground the session in material form. I always did and have a watercolor painting I created right after the session. It’s the same as making an oracle card or any other art, deep thoughts, mindfulness and concentration are important to the soul, which is why I encourage my clients to make art after their sessions, too. Writing in a journal is an art form, too.

It’s a powerful healing practice to meditate with the rising sun. The light frequencies nourish the body and empower the soul. This is one way to harness the EL-ements.
