Merry Christmas to everyone.
We have had a incredible surge in folks looking for PCR tests. We send the samples over to a number of different labs. The labs are overwhelmed, and last we saw, they all are taking 4-5 days to send us the results. Unfortunately, it is completely out of our hands.
The Rapid Antigen tests we use do a decent job of detecting Omicron variant of COVID. Those are available and we can give you a result within 15-20 minutes.
Thank you for the understanding.

We are seeing a surge in testing for COVID. Sometimes we stop seeing patients earlier than 8 o clock to catch up on testing and giving results. Thank you for the understanding.

! Grandma was definitely onto something-- besides filling up your belly, chicken soup can help you feel better when you have the flu or a cold. So, how does it work? It's all about the ingredients:

-Warm, salty broth can help alleviate a sore throat.
-Noodles provide carbohydrates that help you feel full and satisfied.
-Vegetables such as carrots, celery, and onion have vitamins C and K, and other antioxidants and minerals.
-Sipping spoonfuls can help replace the fluids you lose.
-Steam can open up airways, making it easier to breathe.

Thanks, Grandma! Do you like to have chicken noodle soup when you're feeling sick?

What actually happens during a COVID-19 nasal swab test? A health care worker will gently insert what looks like a long Q-tip up into a person’s nose, rotating the swab for 15 seconds for sampling, then remove it and place it in a vial, which is then sent to a lab for testing. It may be uncomfortable, but it's fast and easy!

When we cough and sneeze, those droplets go into the air. If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands. Be sure to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds afterward. Together we can help stop the spread!
