🎾 Sideline Spotlight: Tennis & Pickleball Edition

As courts fill up this summer, so do the aches and pains from long rallies and fast footwork. But how do you know when it’s more than just soreness?

Tennis and Pickleball may be low-impact compared to some sports, but they involve repetitive motion, quick directional changes, and high joint demand—especially for your upper body.

🔸 Soreness is typical after long sessions and usually improves with ice, rest, and stretching.
🔸 Injury pain, on the other hand, is sharp, persistent, and often limits your swing, serve, or court movement.

🚨 See a specialist if you notice:
• Elbow pain during or after playing (aka “Tennis Elbow”)
• Shoulder tightness or pain with overhead shots
• Ankle instability or knee pain from lateral movement
• Wrist strain or tingling in the fingers
