When chronic foot or ankle pain doesn’t improve with rest or traditional care, advanced treatment options may help.

At our office, we offer Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy, a treatment that uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to support the body’s natural healing process. PRP is commonly used for tendon, ligament, and soft tissue injuries that have been slow to heal.

If pain has been holding you back, PRP therapy may be an option worth exploring.

Foot pain isn’t always just a foot problem—it can affect your knees, hips, back, and posture.

At our office, we provide custom orthotics designed specifically for your feet, gait, and lifestyle. Unlike over-the-counter inserts, custom orthotics are prescribed based on a full evaluation to help improve alignment, reduce pain, and support long-term mobility.

If discomfort keeps coming back, custom orthotics may be part of a more effective, long-term solution.

Plantar Fasciitis vs. Plantar Fasciosis

Most people — and even many providers — get this wrong.

Heel pain doesn’t always mean inflammation.

👉 The truth?
Many chronic cases are actually degeneration of the plantar fascia, not inflammation.

Let’s break it down:

🔥 Plantar Fasciitis
• Acute condition
• Caused by inflammation
• Often occurs after sudden activity increase
• Usually improves with rest, stretching, and short-term treatment

⚠️ Plantar Fasciosis
• Chronic degeneration of the fascia
• Little to no inflammatory cells present
• Caused by repetitive micro-tears over time
• Requires regenerative treatments, not just anti-inflammatories

📊 Studies show that many patients with heel pain lasting 3–6+ months actually have fasciosis — meaning the tissue is breaking down, not inflamed.

Which means:

❌ Ice and rest alone won’t fix it
❌ Repeated steroid injections may weaken tissue

Instead, the focus should be on:

✔️ Stimulating healing
✔️ Restoring tissue strength
✔️ Addressing biomechanical overload

This is why modern treatments may include:

• Shockwave therapy
• Regenerative medicine
• Foot mechanics correction
• Targeted strengthening

👣 Bottom line:
If your heel pain has lasted months, you may not have plantar fasciitis at all.

You may have plantar fasciosis.

And that changes everything about how it should be treated.

Heel pain that won’t go away?
Your diagnosis might be outdated.

Chronic foot or heel pain doesn’t always require injections or surgery.

At our office, we offer Shockwave Therapy, a non-invasive treatment designed to stimulate healing, reduce pain, and improve mobility—especially for conditions like plantar fasciitis and heel pain.

Shockwave therapy works by increasing blood flow and triggering the body’s natural healing response, often helping patients who haven’t found relief with rest, stretching, or other conservative care.

Heel spurs are often misunderstood. While many people think the spur itself causes pain, the discomfort is usually related to soft tissue strain and inflammation around the heel.

At our practice, we focus on identifying the true source of heel pain and providing professional, conservative treatment options whenever possible—helping patients return to walking comfortably.

If heel pain is slowing you down, getting the right diagnosis matters.
