Sensational Development was founded in 2009 by Patricia Rutledge, OTR/L and Sara Pereira MS,OTR/L. Sensational Development is a pediatric occupational therapy practice with two locations, one in Massapequa and a satellite office in East Northport. Patti and Sara have created a place where children can feel safe and welcomed. We educate parents on the areas of development that are impacting their c

hild's day to day activities. Sara and Patti saw the need for private occupational therapy services within their community and created a place that could help children and parents grow and thrive. We understand the importance of working with the child’s whole team to support the development of the child and the parents’ journey.

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to if/which school-based occupational therapy practitioners use Ayres Sensory Integration® in schools, using the Guidelines for Occupational Therapy using Ayres Sensory Integration® in the School-Based Practice.

Had a great time at Annual conference, Inspire 2025! So proud of our own Miss Maria doing amazing work, supporting clinicians and educating others about the use of ASI in schools! Lots of fun catching up with former students- including Miss Isabella at her poster presentation on using aerial yoga at , seeing so many colleagues and friends, planning a research project, checking out new equipment and validating the important work we do! I just love seeing it backed by the research being published.
