Hi Everybody,

This Sunday March 8 Scott C. is celebrating 4 years a t the 1 PM AA Meeting. there will be a dinner to follow. Please come out to support Scott and get a chance to thank him in person for the expanded Clubhouse.

The following week Sunday March 15 , Danny L celebrates a milestone.... 25 years sober at the 1 PM AA Meeting. Yes, miracles do happen. We hear John F. may be home to hand Danny his coin. Dany L is responsible for bringing the clubhouse to Massena and now his vision for the Clubhouse has been provided.
Look what happens when we turn our will over and let our Higher power handle the path. See everybody at this celebration

BIG NEWS ... the new Clubhouse is way ahead of schedule. The rooms were constructed, the painting is done, the floors are in and the base boards were finished today. Tomorrow the kitchen will be installed and the coffee room finished. Then there is the little stuff like counters, ceiling tiles, etc. We should start moving at the end of the week. Many people are asking where the new clubhouse is located. It's easy to find. ...it's in the same building one door down. If you have trouble finding us, call the Clubhouse phone. Carl C. will help you out.
We have tons of room and have already designated a pool room, ping pong table space, TV and game area, Card area, Puzzle area all separate from the large meeting room. Anyone want to help us move? Contact Pat O and sign up for some service work!

Big Thank-you to Pat O. and Delma W. for Organizing the Painters. Especially Pat O who invested a lot of time painting as well as Dustin A. and Vic. We had some help form Johnny the Painter, Taylor, and Sue L. An even bigger thank you to Scott Coupal to initiating and orchestrating the entire project. We are forever grateful for the gift you have given the clubhouse.

EXCITING UPDATE: We have already moved so... you guessed it the newsletter is late again ... NO big surprise there. Thanks to Dave, Delma, Pat, Vic., Jimmy, Andrew, Randy W. Rusty ,and Taylor, who helped move 90 percent of the furniture. Danny L was there but we didn't want to call the Rescue Squad if he helped so we told him watch. He happily agreed!! We set up the kitchen and storge room (thanks for building the shelves Pat O), beverage room and meeting area. Dustin A spent two days fixing odds and ends and painting. We still have a long way to go but did manage to hold a meeting and dinner last weekend. Then Scott Coupal popped in and said the place needs to be bigger for the meetings and another wall was knocked out in two days and in three days the room was done. So, this weekend we will be setting up again and moving more over to our expanded storage area. Pat O has been a tremendous help this week. He hung three TVs, blinds, lock boxes and the closet door rack. Thanks Pat. We really do appreciate all the work you have put in the last four weeks.

This week we hope to have the pool table moved over, the gaming room and puzzles table set up, the Alanon Meeting room completed, and the card players situated. Then there are all the wall hangings.... That means we need volunteers... watch out for Sued L. or Pat O. if you see them walking towards you. (We are still looking for a ping pong table if anyone has a lead.)

Our first activity will be the annual Pitch Tournament. Taylor has volunteered (volun-told but he accepted) to organize the tournament. Call the clubhouse phone at 315-250-7410 if you want to sign up. As soon as I see Tayor I will have more details to pass on. If you attended the Superbowl Sunday Party, Taylor organized that too. He tripled the attendance and organized some awesome food. Thanks to everyone who pitched in for food especially Rusty and all the Super Bowl themed desserts. Did they play cards? Of course, they did but when the game started, they stopped playing. Father Mark was there again this year ......even Dustin A showed up and played cards for a while. I almost forgot. Big shout out to Melissa W. who raised $1,000 for the clubhouse with the Super Bowl Board. Thanks Melissa. We maintain you are the best fundraiser in the North Country!

We have had a lot of good meals the last few weeks. Goulash, Chil, Spanish Rice, Soup and Grilled Cheese... Always with Pats homemade Bread, Stephanie's Potato Salad, Delmas soup of the Day, a Lois's Soups. that doesn't include Pat's cookies, Delma's Cake, and Ice Cream Steve. Rusty has joined in and often brings dessert for the meals. We are missing Doughnut Dave and Patti and hope they ae up and around soon. Lots of people ae helping clean up but big thanks to Peter and Tony for always doing the dishes and changing the garbage. Card players have slowed their pace, but now that the weather is nicer it is. the gang got used to Karen bringing in snacks all the time ... now they all rush home to eat.

We are still cleaning away and last week did all four locations. We could use some more volunteers. Thanks Rusty, Sophie and Johnny. Also, to Stacie H. and her crew who help us clean all the location but also clean the clubhouse once week. I know we should thank David D. too. He brings food, I don't know what, he talks a lot and entertains some people. although not sure who and he is always late but is there for the last-minute cleaning. Thanks David D we appreciate you.

That's it for this week. Follow our new Clubhouse progress on Facebook. Better yet stop in and see for yourself.
