Pine Grove Cemetery

Pine Grove Cemetery Pine Grove Cemetery is currently home to roughly 1,700 souls. Several wooded acres were recently cleared, making room for 8,000 additional plots.

Pine Grove Cemetery provides perpetual care, which includes mowing, trimming, litter/debris cleanup, and leaf blowing. Pine Grove Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Matamoras Borough, Penn. was founded in 1910 by Mae Rose. Pine Grove is home to six Civil War veterans, soldiers who fought in the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, an engineer from the Apollo Space Program, and even a girl named Cinderella. Also, many of the earliest settlers of Matamoras and Westfall are buried at Pine Grove, as well as several of the former Matamoras mayors.

We've got good news and bad news:

We have a great deal of interest in our dedication ceremony for the all new Pine Grove Veterans Cemetery. However, our area Veterans organizations have asked that we postpone briefly so that they have more time to plan.

Thanks so much for the wonderful support thus far. We will share a new date very shortly!
