Please note:
📌 We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so our staff can enjoy the holiday with their families.
We will resume normal hours the following day and the rest of the week/weekend 7:30-6:30. Saturday and Sunday 8-4.

Got a random cold that just won’t go away? It might be Rhinovirus, the most common cause of the common cold — and we’re seeing a lot of it this season. While symptoms are usually mild, they can be stubborn and easily spread.

Common Symptoms Include:
• Runny or stuffy nose
• Sore throat
• Sneezing
• Cough
• Mild fever
• Headache or sinus pressure

How It Spreads:
Rhinovirus spreads easily through:
✔️ Coughing and sneezing
✔️ Touching shared surfaces
✔️ Close contact with others

How to Protect Yourself:
• Wash hands frequently
• Avoid touching your face
• Stay home when sick
• Keep surfaces clean
• Focus on rest, hydration, and healthy habits

When to Visit Webster Urgent Care Mathiston:
Come see us if your “cold that won’t quit” turns into:
– Persistent or high fever
– Trouble breathing
– Severe sinus pressure
– Symptoms lasting longer than 10–14 days

💓 Happy Nurse Practitioner Week to our very own Misti Garnett, FNP-C! 💓
Owner and Family Nurse Practitioner at Webster Urgent Care

This week, we are proud to honor Misti Garnett, the heart and driving force behind Webster Urgent Care. Misti has dedicated her entire career to caring for others with compassion, excellence, and unwavering determination.
Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2013, Misti spent 17 years as a Registered Nurse specializing in cardiology and emergency care. She is a proud graduate of Mississippi University for Women, where she earned her Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in Nursing.
Misti is ACLS, PALS, and DOT certified and has been a member of the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners for over 10 years, as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In 2025, she was honored to be chosen as the Nurse Practitioner of the Year in Clinical Settings by the Mississippi Association of Nurse Practitioners — a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
Born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi, Misti and her husband Chadd have built a beautiful life together with their four children, three grandchildren, and another grandbaby on the way.
Misti’s leadership, compassion, and hard work have shaped Webster Urgent Care into the trusted clinic it is today. She has worked tirelessly to make her dream a reality — and through every challenge, she has remained committed to serving the communities of Webster, Chickasaw, and Lowndes Counties with excellent, efficient, and heartfelt care.
We are so proud and grateful for everything she has accomplished and for the example she sets for our entire team.

Meet Amanda Fields, FNP, one of our dedicated Nurse Practitioners at Webster Urgent Care!
Amanda is an experienced healthcare professional with over 20 years of clinical experience in the nursing field. Her journey began as a CNA, and through hard work and a passion for patient care, she advanced to become an LPN, RN, ADN, BSN, and now a Family Nurse Practitioner.
She brings extensive experience in emergency, medical-surgical, and home health settings — giving her a well-rounded understanding of patient care across all stages of life. Amanda’s compassion, teamwork, and dedication shine through in everything she does.
When she’s not caring for patients, Amanda enjoys camping and spending time with her family and furbabies. 🏕️🐾
We’re so thankful to have Amanda as part of our team and proud to celebrate her this Nurse Practitioner Week! 💙

Happy Nurse Practitioner Week to Robert Myers, FNP!
Robert brings over 33 years of experience in healthcare and has been an incredible addition to our team here at Webster Urgent Care in Mathiston!
He began his career as an EMT in 1992, became a Paramedic in 1995, and spent a total of 12 years in EMS before pursuing nursing. Robert graduated from nursing school in 2002 and worked as a nurse for 21 years before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In August 2023, he joined the Webster Urgent Care family — and we’re so glad he did! (He says it’s the “greatest job ever!”)
We are grateful for Robert’s experience, compassion, and commitment to caring for our patients and community. Help us celebrate him this Nurse Practitioner Week! 💙

It’s Nurse Practitioner Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without celebrating our very own Mrs. Kathy! 💙
Kathy has been with us since day one — 8 years ago when we first opened our Mathiston clinic — and she’s been caring for our patients with the same kindness, skill, and heart every single day.

With 46 years in the medical field, Kathy has done it all — from medical assistant, EMT, and lab tech to ICU nurse and now 20 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner (and DOT certified too!).

When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her spending time with her grandkids or out on the water skiing, boating, or camping.

We are beyond thankful for Kathy’s dedication, compassion, and experience. She’s truly one of a kind! 💙
