MEET LISA MARIE!!

Lisa Marie believes she was always meant to massage. She says, “I didn’t choose massage—massage chose me. It was the preordained plan of God for my life.”

MEET HOPE!!

This week’s post is extra special, because not only is Hope one of our talented massage therapists, but she is also the newest esthetician to join Team Matthews!!

Hope became a massage therapist because she wanted to help people feel better and take a more natural, holistic approach to wellness rather than relying on just medication. She completed her massage education at South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) and she has loved every moment of this journey so far! One of her favorite techniques is hot stone massage—especially because, as a lot of her clients already know, she usually has cold hands 😂.

Hope says, “Even though I’m still a newer therapist, I’m excited to continue learning different modalities and growing in my craft to give every client the best possible experience.”

Her journey into esthetics started because she personally struggled with acne and eventually figured out how to improve her own skin. This inspired her to help others achieve their skincare goals and feel confident in their skin. She attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) for her esthetics education, and her favorite part of a facial is definitely the massage—no surprise, because she’s also a massage therapist! She also loves exfoliation treatments that leave the skin glowing and refreshed. Beauty, health, and self-care are her passions, and she can’t wait to share that with every client who visits.

When Hope is not in the spa, you can usually find her reading, crocheting, or playing the piano. She’s also a proud cat mom—she’s her baby! She loves all things pink; honestly, almost everything she owns is pink, she’d even wear pink to work if she could! Helping people feel their best, whether through massage or skincare, is truly what makes her happiest, and she is so excited to bring that energy to every service she provides!

MEET TY’AMBER!!

Ty’Amber is a passionate and dedicated massage therapist. She graduated from the Holistic School of Massage in Baltimore, MD, in 2019. Shortly after, she relocated to Arizona, where she began her career and honed her skills in cupping therapy and hot stone massage to better assist her clients.

In 2020, she became certified in Lymphatic Drainage and had the privilege of working at the Lymphatic Healing Center under the guidance of Ms. Nancy Wakely, who has over 20 years of experience in the field. There, she specialized in pre- and post-surgical lymphatic treatments, helping clients heal and improve their overall wellness.

While continuing her work at the Lymphatic Healing Center, she also began working at a boxing gym, where she focused on sports massage, stretching techniques, and muscle recovery for athletes.

She recently relocated to Charlotte, NC, and in 2024, she attended the SportStretch® program to further enhance her skills in athletic recovery. Her goal is to help every client feel their best—whether they are an athlete, recovering from surgery, or simply looking to relax and rejuvenate.

As a Usui Reiki–certified practitioner, she incorporates gentle energy work into her services, promoting balance, stress relief, and overall well-being — making each facial a truly healing experience.

MEET MADISON!!

Madison started her MT career in 2024 when she graduated from SPCC. She became interested in massage due to her own experience with chronic pain and having amazing MT/PT work on her. This MT also practiced cranial sacral therapy and later became her mentor. This treatment reduced her debilitating pain down to nearly zero - she now lives with very little pain without being on heavy medication.

Her focus now is on listening and trying to understand what people are going through in their pain and injuries. She assists these issues with massage targeted to their needs. She specializes in deep tissue, cranial sacral, and relaxed swedish message to help ease the body into a natural healing state.

Her hobbies outside of the treatment room include riding horses, hiking, reading, and thrifting.

Madison says, “I still have a lot to learn with only one year under my belt, but I’m always up for any type of challenge, and learning about new and different ways to help people.”
