I get so nervous before every single speaking engagement and this one was no different. But, when I walked in and worship music was playing, I exhaled and was fine. The Nigerian doctors were so welcoming, kind and engaging as I shared about my passion: wellness through self-care. I was humbled to be chosen to speak to a room filled with doctors from various specialties. It’s pretty cool to just get to be me, in all of my quirkiness and have people experience my passion. I think this event was such an honor because many would assume that doctors already know how to practice self-care; they struggle, too.

Experiences from the recent wellness experience in the Dominican Republic combined with today’s sharing with the ANPA have further renewed my commitment to my calling.
