Chef Wars brings together talented chefs from local Continuing Care Retirement Communities to compete for the Top Chef Awards in Best Entrée, Best Dessert, and Fan Favorite. It’s always a day filled with amazing food, friendly competition, and community spirit — all in support of Shepherd’s Charlotte programs.

🔥 Our Matthews Glen chefs brought their A-game again this year at Chef Wars—a fun and friendly culinary competition that raises funds for a local nonprofit!

Residents loved the seared tuna and crème brûlée napoleon so much, they can’t wait to see these dishes on our dinner menu.

On this Juneteenth, we pause to reflect on the gift of freedom and the power of faith.

We give thanks to God for the progress made and pray for continued healing, unity, and justice. As it says in Galatians 5:13 — “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.”
