Windsor Run held its Annual "Honor Our Heroes" event this week. It was a team effort led by former New York EMTs, Assistant Security Manager Louis Cazzetta, and Community Resource Coordinator AnnMarie Cazzetta.

Local elected officials, members of the Matthews Police Department, Matthews Fire Department, and Medics joined the event, along with the Windsor Run Security Team and residents, who also baked some goodies for the heroes' table.

Louis and AnnMarie shared items for the Creative Arts Display Case, including their badges and the gloves that Louis wore while assisting in the days after the towers fell.

Other Windsor Run events this week include a 9/11 Memorial Walk with the Fitness team and a special moment of Remembrance on Thursday morning.
