I know it's hard to believe that your life could ever look different than the circumstances you are in today. It doesn't seem that you can change or the people in your life could ever be different. And sometimes a season of counseling brings a new direction because it is a first step in slowing down to work toward change.

I'd love to provide you or your family a comfortable setting to begin your journey toward hope and change. Explore blueskycounselingnc.com to learn more about me and contact me to get started. I love to help people clear a path through the mire and muck of everyday living and the pitfalls associated with previous or current struggles. I work to help put words and order to what is being experienced. When any of us are helpless and desperate, counseling can get our feet landed on the ground. My approach to life and counseling comes from a Christian faith and perspective. I believe healing and growth comes from an honest assessment of what someone is experiencing emotionally, physically, and spiritually. No matter what areas of faith we have in common, I want to offer a place of help and hope. Fourteen years ago I began my work with individuals and families in acute crisis. I watched them become hopeful and offered practical help as they maneuvered life in new circumstances. I am grateful now to sit with people in a variety of crises, life stages, relationship struggles, and painful situations. I am glad to be a practical and hopeful voice. My background includes a bachelor's degree in Communication and Psychology from Florida State University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary. My years of counseling have included in-home therapy services, inpatient counseling with teens and adults, supervising graduate counseling students, and private practice. I’ve been married for twelve years and have three children.
