How often does your IBS leave you feeling "ok" one day and in pain the next? 🤔⁠ Part of using mindfulness during your healing process is paying attention to how your body feels and nourishing your body accordingly.⁠

Some days you'll feel "ok" and may need additional food - YUM!⁠

On other days, you may be having pain or diarrhea, and it's important to remember that your body still needs food on those days, too!⁠

IBS symptoms coupled with restricting foods or entire food groups may have made you afraid to eat certain things or attend certain social gatherings.⁠

Restriction leads to guilt, shame, anxiety, and FEAR of food! This fear and anxiety will trigger diarrhea and stomach issues, only reinforcing that avoidance of those foods.⁠

Let me tell you that your stomach issues ARE real and we know that it's not always "one or the other." Eating disorders and IBS absolutely can occur at the same time.⁠

With a history of ED, recent diagnosis of ED, or you’ve been on this journey of recovery for some time now...An elimination diet, like the Low Fodmap Diet, is not the way to heal your IBS and can trigger your ED.⁠
