🌱 Gardening without the aches & pains!

Spring gardening can be therapeutic, but can also strain your back, knees, and shoulders if you’re not careful. Prolonged bending and twisting can increase your risk of injury.

💡 Protect your body by using a garden stool, switching tasks frequently, and stretching before and after. Check out this infographic for more pain-free gardening tips! https://bit.ly/4ju5u2N

Elbow pain? Here's what helps most! 💪🎯

If you’re dealing with tennis elbow (a common cause of pain on the outside of your elbow), the good news is that you have options!

A recent study compared three different approaches to care:
1️⃣ Exercises alone
2️⃣ Exercises combined with elastic taping
3️⃣ Exercises combined with laser therapy

The good news? All groups improved, so even doing the right exercises alone made a difference. However, the best results came from combining exercise with additional supportive treatments. Patients who had either taping or therapy modalities saw even more significant improvements in movement and their ability to handle daily tasks. Interestingly, both of those added treatments worked equally well.

The bottom line: If elbow pain is holding you back, combining hands-on care and exercises may speed up your recovery.

Heel pain in one foot vs. both feet – What’s the difference? 👣

Plantar fasciitis is a common cause of heel pain, but did you know it acts differently when it's in both feet instead of just one?

A recent study found:
✔️ People with pain in one foot had better balance, walked more easily, and had stronger muscles.
✔️ People with pain in both feet had more pain, more trouble doing everyday things, and weaker muscles.

What does this mean? 💡
If you have plantar fasciitis in both feet, you may need more focused treatment to help improve your strength, balance, and how your feet move.

The good news is that the right care can help you walk, stand, and move better with less pain!

Why won’t my back pain go away? 🤔

Chronic low back pain isn’t usually caused by one single trigger. It’s complex and influenced by several factors.

A recent study found that persistent pain was linked to:
🔹 Poor neck and hip mobility
🔹 Structural changes in spinal discs and joints
🔹 Psychological factors like stress and anxiety

That’s why a thorough history and exam are key. We look at the whole picture, not just your spine.

If your back pain persists, let’s work together to find a solution. Call us today!

Low Back Pain? Get Moving! 🏃‍♂️

A study found that people with non-chronic low back pain were significantly less active, especially in vigorous physical activities. This lack of movement can contribute to ongoing discomfort.

👉 Tip: Even light exercise can help keep your back strong and flexible. Walking, stretching, and chiropractic care can all make a difference!

Sleeping Wrong? 😴 Your Spine Might Be Paying the Price!

Everyone has different sleep positions that work best for their body, but there are some general tips that can promote better spinal health.

Want to wake up feeling better?

Use a pillow that supports your neck, no matter your sleep position.

If you sleep on your side, try placing a cushion between your knees to reduce strain on your hips and lower back.

Back sleeper? A small pillow under your knees can ease pressure on your lower back.

Finding the right setup for you can make a big difference!
