📉 North Carolina’s recent Medicaid rebase cuts rates for Therapeutic Foster Care by 3% and Residential Services for youth by 10%.

These are not peripheral services; these programs support children who’ve experienced the greatest trauma. Cuts like this mean fewer beds, fewer foster homes, and fewer opportunities for healing.

At Thompson, we believe there has to be a better way. Medicaid rates should reflect the real cost of quality care; care that gives children the stability and support they deserve.
