Together we can grow a culture of consent. Consent isn’t just a one-time conversation; it’s something we practice every day. It looks like asking before assuming, listening without pressure, and respecting boundaries. When we model consent in our friendships, relationships, workplaces, and families, we help prevent sexual violence before it ever begins.

Such a simple yet life-changing message. A child only needs one caring, safe adult to improve the trajectory of their entire life!

🎓 Grief doesn’t graduate.
Young adults don’t leave grief behind when they head to college, but support often doesn’t follow them there.
New environments, new pressures, and distance from familiar support systems can make grief feel even more isolating.
At Good Grief, we support young adults ages 18–30 with in-person and virtual peer groups designed to ensure they don’t have to navigate it alone.
Help us spread the word. Let’s advocate for more grief awareness and support on college campuses and beyond.

The Addiction Policy Forum today launched the Cannabis Use Disorder Prevention and Awareness Week, a national effort to raise awareness about the growing impact of cannabis use and the risks associated with cannabis use disorder. This year we will share educational resources about prevention, early intervention and treatment for cannabis use disorder (CUD) the week of April 15 - 22, 2026.
As cannabis use continues to rise across the United States, public perception of its risks remains low. Recent data show that more than 20 million individuals in the U.S. meet the criteria for cannabis use disorder. Young adults are particularly affected, and early use significantly increases the likelihood of developing a disorder.
Share our science-backed resources to increase understanding of cannabis use and its health impacts and help support healthier communities.

Healing starts with the individual — and moves to the family, the community, and the nation.
Meet keynote speaker Kateri Coyhis, Mohican Nation. Kateri is the Executive Director of White Bison and a leading voice in the Wellbriety Movement — a culturally based approach to healing that centers Indigenous traditions, intergenerational recovery, and community wellness.

Illinois Family Resource Center is a statewide project funded for the purpose of ensuring family involvement and input in all aspects of adolescent and young adult care within the Illinois substance use disorder (SUD's) treatment system. Through the enhancement and dissemination of evidence-based SUD's treatment and recovery support services, adolescents, young adults and their families are provided support in their recovery journey at the practice and program level.
To support family involvement that is focused, goal-driven and productive at the policy level, Illinois Family Resource Center seeks family member's feedback that may be shared through collaborative work with the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, and the substance use disorder and mental health provider community.
In addition, Illinois Family Resource Center offers this website to provide current research and education to youth, young adults, family members and human service providers regarding issues related to substance use disorders and living a healthy lifestyle. We also offer links to SUD's treatment services throughout Illinois.
