Lanett Marie Stevenson, age 77, of Charleston passed away on January 6, 2026 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital.
Funeral services honoring her life will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Schilling Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
Lanett was born on November 30, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Lee and Irene (Johnson) White. She was the second oldest of 10 children and she accepted Christ at an early age. Lanett was married to Wilford Stevenson Sr. of Chicago, Illinois, on March 28, 1970, in St. Louis, Missouri, by the late Bishop A.D. Williams at Christ Temple Church of Christ Holiness. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
Survivors include her husband, Wilford Stevenson Sr.; son, Wilford (Iris) Stevenson Jr.; daughter, Tisa (Jeff) Trask; grandchildren, Jeffrey Trask, James Trask, Aja Trask-Sutton, Raheem, Lee, and Nonah Hollis, Aeneas Stevenson; adopted grandchildren, Serik and Tobin; great-grandchildren, Amaya, Amari, and Ariela; siblings, Janett Reese, Norbert White, Colnett McGee, Gary White, Annett White, Minnett Blair, and Kerry White; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Carol Dudley and Madina Mason.
Lanett was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Darnett White and Robert White.

Robert “Bob” Lloyd Cohoon, age 81, of Mattoon passed away on January 6, 2026 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home.
Funeral services honoring his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brown officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Bob was born on February 12, 1944 in Coles County, Illinois the son of Sherman and Dorothy (Hopper) Cohoon. He married Diana Behl on October 15, 1993.
Survivors include his loving wife, Diana Cohoon; son, Rick Cohoon; daughter, Shanda Cohoon; brother, Fred Cohoon; stepdaughters, Tammy Jordan, Lori Lucier and Gina Huckstead; grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Brandon Cutright, Blake Cutright, Justin Morrow, Megan Morrow, Desiree Darnell, Shelby Grissom-Coffey, Mallory Kuhns and Madeline Cohoon.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Patricia Starwalt; stepson, Greg Grissom; and granddaughters, Aimee Jordan and Brooke Jordan.
Bob served honorably and proudly in the United States Army. He worked at the water department for the city of Charleston and later worked at Masterbrand Cabinets where he retired from after several years of service. Bob was a member of the Mattoon Family Worship Center. He enjoyed riding his scooter, carpentry and building, and was an avid Bears football fan. Bob enjoyed traveling with Diana and spending time with friends at Limetree Park in Florida. Most of all, Bob cherished spending time with his family, and especially enjoyed attending the activities of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Kim was born on May 21 1957 in Tuscola il the son of Harold and Bernadine (Swantz) Donnals. Kim remarried in 2002 to Tammy Booher.
Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Donnals and Nichole Freeman; grandchild, T.J. and his best friend, Traci Barker.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernadine Donnals; his brother, Harold Oscar Donnals Jr.; sisters, Pat Hack and Darlene Simpson; his wife, Tammy (Booher) Donnals; his mother-in-law, Darlene Booher; and one grandchild, Serenity Lynn (Dunn) Donnals.
Kim's hobbies included racing at Charleston speedway, NASCAR, and fishing. He loved football and also enjoyed music and watching old westerns.

Edith was born on August 8, 1944 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of George and Kathleen (Guest) Consorti.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis (William) McCoy; son, John Stull; grandchildren, Kaitlyn McCoy, Michael McCoy, Jordan Barton and Justin Stull; great-grandchildren, Ami, Aleia, Jovonni and Jordan Barton Jr. and Westyn McCoy; brothers, Bill Christensen and Ron Christensen; and sister, Nancy Pfledderer.

Tomi (Eaton) Nees passed away on December 30, 2025 surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, whose presence brought light wherever she went.
Funeral services honoring her life will take place 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Weber officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Tomi was born on July 4, 1964 in Mattoon, the daughter of Thomas Austin and Edith Pauline (England) Eaton.
Wild and carefree by nature, Tomi lived life to the fullest. Strong-willed and a bit stubborn, she was also endlessly loving and full of light. She loved music, dancing, motorcycle riding, and any excuse to gather with family and friends. She cherished Christmas, the lights, the music, and found great joy in baking and shopping for her loved ones. She greatly loved the Fourth of July, her birthday, when she brought everyone together for fireworks, a catfish fry, music, and laughter, memories that perfectly captured her joyful spirit. Always smiling and encouraging, Tomi had a contagious happiness and a rare ability to make everyone feel loved and accepted.
Tomi’s faithful love for her husband and family never wavered. Family was the center of her world, and her devotion, strength, and presence shaped the lives of those she loved most.
Throughout her life, Tomi worked in various roles, often in leadership, where she made lasting impacts through her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others.
She is survived by her loving children, Gary (Dayna) Nees, Anthony (Alicia Hart) Nees, Crystal (Averey) Plummer, Caleb Nees, and Annie (Bear) Fulcher; her cherished granddaughter, Riley and other special grandchildren, Skye (Stephen) Vaughn, Brayden (Haley) VanGilder, Emma Plummer, Ewan Nees, Vaughn Nees, Jillian Fulcher, and Trey Fulcher; great-grandchildren, Oaklynn VanGilder and Russell Vaughn; her fun-loving sister, Sherrie (Jim Porter), her much-loved nieces, Paula, Sara, Katrina, and Casey; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her best friend, Sherrie McCullough, special friend Charlie Eubank, and many other dear friends and family. Tomi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean; their sweet daughter, Paige; her grandparents; her parents; and three beloved siblings.
Above all, Tomi will be remembered for her loving heart, free spirit, and the joy she brought into so many lives. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Victoria was born on February 19, 1965 in Oaklawn, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth Frank and Loretta Rose (Zoetvelt) Arthur.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa (John) Norris of Harrisburg, IL; granddaughter, Jasmine Norris of Harrisburg, IL; mother, Loretta Arthur of Mattoon, IL; siblings, Julie Arthur of Mattoon, IL, Mari Falk of CA, Mike Arthur of Mattoon, IL, Danny Arthur of Mattoon, IL and Tuana (Danny) Morr of Humboldt, IL. Victoria was preceded in death by her father; and brothers, Dennis Arthur and Kenny Arthur.
Victoria was known for her kind heart and her love for helping others. She worked as a CNA for many years. She loved going to church with her mother, had a special love for animals, and enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs. Victoria was always willing to help people in need and was devoted to her daughter and grand daughter, who meant everything to her. She will be remembered for her compassion, love, and the way she cared for those around her.

Rodney Lee Adams, age 70, of Neoga, passed away on December 23, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service honoring his life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Spencer officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Rod was born on February 8, 1955 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois the son of Lester Wayne Adams and Lillian Mae (Waddle) Zimmerman. He married Donna Jean Graven on May 21, 1977.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Donna Jean Adams; children, Rodney Lee Jr. (April) Adams and Derrick Everett (Andrea) Adams; grandchildren, Cory Lee Adams, Justin Allen Adams and Gavin Tyler Adams; siblings, John Keith Adams, Candice Sue (Moe) McDonald, Karla Marie Whitney and Harold Gene Zimmerman; several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a large family of friends; and his beloved dog, Luna Moon.
Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lillian; stepfather, Samuel Zimmerman; in-laws, Don and Halyeveren Graven; sister, Beverly Jean Mejia (Adams); and brother, Bradley Allen Adams.
Rod graduated High School in 1973 and shortly thereafter met and married the love of his life, Donna Jean. Rod followed in his father-in-law’s footsteps and went to work at Kraft. He was a maintenance technician for over 35 years. He also studied martial arts and ran his own studio for many years. Rod loved his family, friends and was an avid Bears fan (maybe not in that order.) He loved boating, the outdoors, wood crafts and gardening with Donna, Busch beer, Jimmy Buffett, Rollings Stones, his kids, grandkids and his beautiful bride. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Jeffery Joe Weaver, age 68, of Mattoon passed away on December 24, 2025 at his residence.

Jeff was born on May 6, 1957 in Mattoon, the son of George Thomas and Hettie May (Childress) Weaver. He married Phyllis Pierce. They were married for 28 years and shared two sons together. He later married Janie Brown on November 11, 2011. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2018.
Survivors include his sons, Dylan (Michelle) Weaver and Jared (Amanda) Weaver; stepsons, Mike (Angela) French and Clay (Michelle) French; grandchildren, Avery Hopper, Ian Weaver, Madelyn Weaver, Nolan Weaver and Everett Weaver; several step-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Weaver, Tom Weaver and Bob Weaver; sister, Beverly Nichols; and friends Phyllis and Kurt Sparks, and Ronnie Smock.
In addition to his wife, Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Kent Weaver.
Jeff worked as a car salesman at Miller & Son and later at Pilson Auto Center for over 40 years. He proudly served the Mattoon Moose Lodge, where he was Administrator for two years and Treasurer for two years. Jeff will be remembered as a very generous person, always willing to help his family or friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Dave was born on August 21, 1943 in Lerna, the son of Berlie Goble and Beatrice (Lawrence) Price. He married Velma Price on December 14, 1979.

Archie Paul Edwards, age 71, of Mattoon passed away on December 17, 2025 at Willow Breeze Hospice House.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Schilling Funeral Home.
Archie was born on March 26, 1954 in Mattoon, the son of James H. and Bernice H. (Harris) Edwards. He married Deborah Hays on April 28, 2007.
Archie was a man who spent his life building, not just homes, but a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter. A talented carpenter with Unique Homes and a longtime member of The Pranksters, Archie was the kind of man who could fix just about anything, lend a helping hand without being asked, and bring laughter into even the hardest moments.
For more than 42 years, Archie was a devoted husband, a proud provider, and a loyal friend. His family was his greatest pride, and everything he did was for those he loved. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived with a quiet strength that spoke louder than words.
Archie’s presence filled a room, and his absence will be felt in ways that are hard to put into words. His lessons, humor, and love will live on through the stories shared and the lives he touched.
Archie is survived by his beloved wife; Deborah Edwards, his son; Scott Tucker, and his daughters; Shan-Dana Hays, and Jamie Hays. Plus, many extended family members, siblings, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
It is now that he will be reunited with all the loved ones who have gone before him, as they welcome him home with open arms.
Though his hands may now rest, the legacy Archie built will stand strong for generations to come. He will always be #1 in our hearts.

Joyce E. Moulder, age 89, of Shelbyville passed away on December 15, 2025 at her residence in the arms of her loved ones.

Joyce was born on December 13, 1936 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Jess and Virginia (Horn) Stone. She married Bennett C. Moulder on February 16, 1957. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2020.
Survivors include her daughter, Melinda “Mendy” (Bryan E.) McGee; grandchildren, Jeremiah B. Willner (Christina Cardwell), Sarah (Thomas) Keal, Bennett (Toni) Peterson, Megan Morris, Aubrey Coats, Ronnie (Ashley) Nelson, Nick Manker (Jessica Kaiser) and Bryan McGee Jr.; great-grandchildren, Mercy (Rudy) Coats, Jackson Coats, Damaina Coats, Iven D. Willner, Aidin Willner, Rebecca Willner, Jeremiah Morris, Oliver Bauder and Vancent Bauder; great-great grandchildren, Caroline King and Aurora King.
In addition to her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Rebecca Ann Moxley and Mary Ruth Nelson; brothers, David, Julian, Richard and Billy Victor Stone; and sisters, Dorothy Rose and Mary Stone.
Joyce lived a life marked by faith, integrity, and love for others. She devoted her career to serving at the Illinois School for the Blind, the Illinois School for the Deaf, and Jacksonville State Hospital, where her kindness, honesty, and gift for working with children left a lasting impression. Joyce was known for her brutal honesty, she meant what she said and lived what she believed. Her faith was central to her life, and she loved sharing it through Bible study, singing old hymns, and caring for those around her. A loving and thoughtful soul, Joyce found joy in crocheting scrubbies for family and friends, a simple but meaningful expression of her generous heart. Her life was a testament to serving others with truth, compassion, and unwavering faith. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
