Cumberland County ROSC

Cumberland County ROSC Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) is dedicated to building a supportive, inclusive community for individuals in recovery and their families.

Our mission is to connect people to resources they need & show that recovery is possible. ROSC (Recovery Oriented System of Care) is a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that is person-centered and builds on the strengths and resiliencies of individuals, families, and communities to achieve recovery and improved health, wellness, and quality of life for those with or at risk of substance use and mental health disorders. Clark/Cumberland County ROSC is here to provide clear-cut directions to networks of community-based services and supports. Our aim is to collaborate with all sectors of our local community including other helping organizations, health care, education, law enforcement, judicial, local business owners, and person's with lived experience with substance use and mental health disorders. It takes ALL our voices to make change & to show people that Recovery Is Possible! 🎃 Scare the Stigma Away! 💜
Words matter. The labels we use—like “addict,” “junkie,” or “drunk”—create shame and keep people from seeking help. Let’s choose person-first language instead:
• someone who uses
• someone who misuses
• someone with a substance use disorder

When we make room for acceptance, people feel safe to talk, get help, and heal. Recovery is possible—and our community can help make it happen. Share this post to spread the message and start a conversation.

If you’d like resources or training (including Narcan), message the Cumberland County ROSC page.
