Give a someone the vision and the heart for something and we will get the work done.
We need your help. We are creating a whole health epicenter in Central Arkansas. We are a nonprofit that will offer equine intervention, walking trails, community garden, zen garden, yurt for retreats/tai chi/yoga 💛
We need donations for the down payment to start this venture. If you know of any companies or philanthropists who may support this movement, can you please send them my way?
We are partnering with the mental health clinic who will provide services to PALARM. We create wellness programs. Corporate programs will be offered access to the farm and workshops on site. Anyone interested in working with us, please reach out!
I so enjoy my clients! They keep me forever and always learning and gaining insight 🫶

And we wonder why we feel p**p...
Let’s normalize holistic options.
Exercise at least 15 minutes 5 days a week. Get your heart rate up enough to where you can’t have a normal conversation.
Choose healthier eating practices. Reduce the processed foods. Take supplements as appropriate! Plug for cod liver oil 🐟
Get outside and socialize! Make some vit D and oxytocin
Although I am a PMHNP, I not your provider (unless l am 😉)
Discuss any changes with your provider.

I don’t like sharing my current story. Testimony that I have figured out? Yes. But not the current hurt…
I can teach coping skills all day long. I can reference scholarly research. I can explain trauma physiology, nervous system regulation, attachment theory, resilience frameworks. I have done the work. I am still doing the work.
But the story?
That’s the part that costs me something.
Every single day I am walking out what it means to be a kind and loving human, choosing grace when I’m tired, choosing patience when I’m stretched thin, choosing softness when life feels sharp.
And every single day I mother a child who lives in visible, relentless pain.
Silas has Olmsted Syndrome. His skin is red, inflamed, cracking. The itching can be unbearable.
The burning can make him scream. Not metaphorically scream. Actually scream. And there is nothing… nothing… that makes a mother feel more helpless than hearing her child cry in pain and not being able to fix it.
That level of suffering is not something I share often. It feels too sacred. Too heavy. Too much.
We travel the country to see specialists. We consult with experts around the world. We pray for a miracle. We advocate. We research. We try again.
And still, we walk into restaurants and people stare.
It used to break me.
Now I smile and acknowledge them.
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.
It hurts my other children.
It hurts Silas most of all.
Recently he told me that when he walks, he keeps his head down so “others don’t see the red on me and make fun of me.”
Oof.
That one split my heart open.
My favorite thing is going down South. It reminds me of being little. My dad used to take me to Cotham's on his Harley. Wind in my hair. Simpler days. Now I take my babies to Miss Charlotte's in Keo. It feels like home. Like heritage. Like something steady in the middle of chaos.
Yesterday we did what we always do, ordered pie first. Because ’s Eats & Sweets, you order pie first. Always. Just in case they run out.
We were settling in when I felt it that familiar awareness. A couple beside us. The wife kept looking over. Not quickly. Not subtle. Looking.
We all felt it.
My oldest finally stared back.
I gently told them what I always tell them: Smile.
Say hello. People are often curious, not cruel. We feel judgment because we are tender. Sometimes it's actually compassion.
But inside? Inside I was bracing.
When we finished eating, the waitress walked up and said, "The couple next to you paid for your meal. You're all set."
I blinked. I felt my throat tighten. The woman approached us and softly asked if Silas had eczema.
I told her, "No, it's Olmsted Syndrome. It's rare. We travel the states and speak with experts around the world. We're praying for our miracle."
She asked his name. “Silas," I said. Her eyes widened. She said the owner's husband's name was Silas too.
She told us she would be praying with us. We hugged.
And when I tell you that hug held something holy in it, it did. I whispered, "You're going to make me cry."
She whispered back, while still holding me, " already am."
Then she looked at Silas and asked him what his favorite dessert was. “Chocolate cake," he said.
She walked away and came back with a whole box of chocolate cake.
Then she turned to my other children and said gently, "I'm sure he gets a lot of the attention.
What's your favorite?" My daughter said chocolate pie. My oldest said he was good.
But I saw him. I saw that moment land in him.
When we got to the truck, my oldest said quietly,
"Wow... that kind of repaired my thoughts on humanity." That sentence undid me.
And next we went to Me & McGee Market where Neva met us with the same love and hugs as she always does 💛
Because this season has been one of the hardest of my life. It hasn't let up. It hasn't softened. It hasn't gotten easier.
There are days I feel wrung out. There are nights I cry quietly so my children don't see. There are moments I question how much one heart can hold.
And yet. Yesterday reminded me.
We think the stares are judgment. Sometimes they are compassion. We think people don't see us. Sometimes they see us more clearly than we realize.
We think we are alone. And then someone buys chocolate cake.
I believe God has a plan for us. I don't always understand it. I don't always like the refining. But I trust that we are being shaped, not shattered.
We are leaning into producing good works even in the middle of pain.
We are choosing grace for ourselves and for others.
Because most of us want to do better.
We just need courage to walk toward connection even when it's uncomfortable.
Growth is uncomfortable.
Love is vulnerable.
Community requires risk.
This is why I created my RISE membership.
This is why I am builing PALARM.
Not because I have it all figured out.
Not because life is easy.
But because no one should have to carry seasons like this alone.
We need safe people.
We need community.
We need someone to pick us up when we are too tired to stand.
Yesterday reminded me:
Humanity is still beautiful.
Kindness still exists.
And sometimes healing shows up in the form of a stranger's embrace... dinner and a box of chocolate cake.

The older I get…
I am so excited for the small things…
All week I hustle. I drink my coffee from big stainless steel mugs. I don’t have time to get to fill up my cup again…
On the weekends, I get to soak up my time and drink from my fav cup from
It’s the little things in life. Take time for you. Work on the meditation part.
