What a privilege it was to attend another remembrance and prevention walk hosted by the Juneau County Su***de Prevention Coalition this Saturday at Riverside Park. 💜
There is something incredibly powerful about watching a community come together to honor lives, support one another, and continue having conversations that matter. Events like these are such an important reminder that nobody should have to walk through grief, struggle, or healing alone.
This year, Heart Line, along with our amazing Art Therapy Counseling Intern, Tiffany, were honored to sponsor the art therapy table; where both children and adults were able to create memory boxes and spend time expressing emotions in a safe, creative, and meaningful way. Watching families sit together, share stories, create art, and simply connect was truly beautiful.
We are already looking forward to expanding these experiences even more in the years ahead, and yes, we absolutely plan to be back next year. 💙 If you didn’t get the opportunity to stop by this year, we hope you will come check out the free art therapy experiences being offered in the future. There is so much healing in creativity, connection, and community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize, participate in, and support this event. Your presence matters more than you know.
We also encourage everyone to continue supporting the incredible work being done by the su***de prevention coalition at their next event on June 19 at Summit Ridge. The evening will include a concert, awareness fundraiser, and opportunities to continue spreading hope and support throughout our communities. We hope to see you there. 💜
