Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation

Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation was established in 2010. Good health is our community’s greatest resource.

Our purpose is to inspire a culture of philanthropy and generosity that strengthens and sustains quality healthcare for our community through the work of Mile Bluff Medical Center. The mission of the foundation is to foster charitable giving that supports the vision of Mile Bluff Medical Center and provide sound stewardship of contributions to the organization. We strive to respond to current needs, but are also focused on programs that will positively impact the health of future generations through the work of Mile Bluff. We fund state-of-the-art healthcare equipment, education and training, and support programs that improve the health and wellness of the community. It is through the generosity of our donors that we are able to support new treatments, technology, and programs that benefit patients, the healthcare team and our community as a whole. We are deeply grateful for the support of the individuals and businesses that continue to help make this possible. Our patients and the community are the heartbeat of our mission to enhance healthcare right here at home.

Step back into the glitz and glamour of the 1920s on Saturday, March 7 at the Wilderness Resort. This event will feature exquisite food, entertainment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.

With appetizers, a plated dinner, and our own speakeasy casino, you can join your fellow guys and gals to see if Lady Luck is on your side. In addition to the casino, there will be other raffles and games for you to enjoy.

Throughout the year, Mile Bluff employees can support the foundation through "Together We Care," the foundation's employee giving program. Many choose to participate in the program through payroll deductions.

We are pleased to announce that in 2025, participating Mile Bluff employees contributed $37,497 to the foundation! These funds will be used to support our areas of greatest need, building projects, scholarships, equipment, and specific patient-care departments.

We cannot thank the Mile Bluff team enough for their dedication to our patients and to improving the health of the community.

With the support of donors, Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation was able to purchase a Vein Viewer for our Emergency Department. Heidi F., Emergency Department Director, shows us what the vein viewer does and how it can be a helpful tool as the team provides care to patients.

We would like to thank the following businesses and individuals who donated to our 2025 Holiday Auction. Because of these generous donors, we had an amazing collection of 99 items for bidders to choose from. We were able to raise over $9,000 to support local healthcare!

We can't wait to bring this event back next year!

Our Story

Mile Bluff Medical Center has been committed to improving the health of the region for well over a century. The organization has been supported by a community of individuals who recognize the value of a having a strong healthcare presence available for area residents.

Through generous support in 1980, Mile Bluff was able to build a new hospital, nursing home and clinic facility. Established in 2010, Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation advances the tradition of community support by raising funds for the medical center.

With foundation and community support, Mile Bluff will continue to move forward.
