Our purpose is to inspire a culture of philanthropy and generosity that strengthens and sustains quality healthcare for our community through the work of Mile Bluff Medical Center. The mission of the foundation is to foster charitable giving that supports the vision of Mile Bluff Medical Center and provide sound stewardship of contributions to the organization. We strive to respond to current need

We fund state-of-the-art healthcare equipment, education and training, and support programs that improve the health and wellness of the community. Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation is able to provide these scholarships due to the generosity of our donors. In addition to supporting high school students, the foundation also provides tuition assistance for Mile Bluff employees pursuing further education.

The Hess Memorial Hospital Thrift Store recently made a donation to Mile Bluff Medical Center Foundation to support the purchase several new pieces of equipment for the medical center including this mammography biopsy chair for the Medical Imaging Department.

A mammography biopsy chair is a specialized, mobile medical chair designed to safely position and support patients during stereotactic biopsy procedures. It transitions between a seated and reclined position, allowing for optimal access to equipment while keeping the patient comfortable and secure.

The Hospital Auxiliary is a group of local volunteers that manages one of the thrift stores in Mauston. Funds raised through sales go to support services at Mile Bluff, and to provide nursing scholarships to high school seniors. Next time you're cleaning out the closets, or looking to do some thrifting, remember that the Hess Memorial Hospital Thrift Store directly impacts local healthcare.

As registered 501(c)(3) non-profits, the foundation and the medical center do not earn profits for owners or shareholders. Instead, money earned or donated to the organizations is reinvested and used to impact the health of patients and the communities served by Mile Bluff.
