Welcome To SalScilla Farms & Scilla's Place Cafe! Named after Sally Allen and Priscilla Gentry; two matriarchs of our families. Our homestead was built at SalScilla in 2003, and we have been adding infrastructure little by little. In 2013, we added 16 acres to our small farm and officially named it SalScilla. Our farm is proud to have built Scilla's Place Cafe. Scilla's Place is a small open patio cafe that seats 45, and offers a farm 2 fork menu. Our Menu changes weekly depending on what is being harvested and what is in season. Our Cafe' food is also available for purchase at the Downtown Conway Farmers & Crafts Market on Saturday's 10a-2p May - October. When visiting our farm and Cafe' please remember we are a working farm. Always were comfortable shoes, watch your step and be aware we have free range chickens:). Our Sunday Brunch can get busy and we request reservations be made for groups of 6 or more. We would also love to host your special event, just give us a shout. Thank you for supporting our farm, and coming to enjoy our food. We are honored and excited to serve you.

LET’S TALK FOOD—What do you eat? I get this question alot because I am a farmer, a chef, a holistic nutritionist, a dietary supplement specialist & a naturopathy practitioner, so people assume my “diet” is very strict and raw. It isn’t, because I am a lover of food, I refuse to count calories, I like a nice glass of wine, and I will never give up certain things! I have always eaten pretty healthy but in the last two years I have been laser focused on holistic health, not just weight, not just blood work results, not just looks, all of it. It has led me to a weight loss of 40 pounds, a love of intermittent fasting, fantastic bloodwork & BP, a renewed love of cooking, and a focus on a thriving longevity and my body feels fueled and connected to life. My head is clear, anxiety and stress are short lived in my thought process, my gut is healthy, and my pain level has reduced significantly. Want to start your journey? I can help you. DM me for a free consult to just talk, tell me your concerns, your goals, your challenges. Maybe I have learned some things along the way that may help you as well!

Always save the rollie-pollies…I admit i didnt know they were called “land shrimp”🦐

Hello. I’m the Pill Bug (or Isopod). Sorry for "rolling away" every time you lift a rock.
I’m not a bug; I’m a crustacean that moved onto land millions of years ago. I have a secret talent that saves your soil: I can "breathe" heavy metals.
I can absorb lead, cadmium, and arsenic from the soil and crystallize them in my body, cleaning the earth.
I also spend my days eating dead, decaying leaves and turning them into rich nutrients. I’m your garden’s primary sanitation and detox specialist.
What to do: Don't use "bug granules" in your mulch! I’m the one making your soil fertile. Keep the mulch damp, and I’ll keep the soil clean.
I’m sorry I’m "crusty." But your garden is non-toxic because of me.

This is so true! It is not one and done but your body is waiting on you and ready to heal. Take a small step, every one of those steps is part of your health journey.

Chronic inflammation (the slow, sustained activation of the immune system that drives heart disease, cognitive decline, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and accelerated aging) is not a one-way door.

Research tracking inflammatory biomarkers in people switching to whole-food, plant-based diets has found measurable drops in key markers within days to weeks.

C-reactive protein. Interleukin-6. TNF-alpha. The chemical signals of a body under siege begin to quiet when the siege conditions are removed.

Fiber feeds the gut bacteria that produce short-chain fatty acids, which reduce intestinal permeability and systemic inflammation. Polyphenols in berries, greens, and legumes directly suppress inflammatory pathways. The absence of saturated fat reduces the oxidative burden on blood vessel walls.

You do not have to wait years to feel the difference. Many patients describe changes in energy, sleep quality, and joint pain within the first week.

The body is not waiting for you to earn your way back to health. It starts working with you the moment you start working with it.

One meal is not a cure. But one meal in the right direction is already a message: the conditions are changing.

And the body listens.

Love this! Our natural GLP-1 support is called Berberine. Instead of glp-1 shot start by following these guidelines and I would add -cook more often and make sure you are not vitamin deficient. If you haven’t reached your health goals by doing these things, I can help you get berberine in a clean natural form. Don’t wait to make you a priority! If you are not sure where to start DM me, I can also offering testing for vitamins and other deficiencies.

Did you know GLP-1 is a hormone your body makes naturally? 🧬

GLP-1 is released in the gut after you eat. It helps regulate appetite, blood sugar, and how quickly food leaves the stomach.

Meals rich in protein and fiber tend to increase satiety hormones like GLP-1. Walking after meals helps the body handle glucose more efficiently. Regular exercise, good sleep, and limiting ultra-processed foods all support the metabolic pathways that regulate hunger and blood sugar.

These habits are part of the biological foundation that helps your metabolism work the way it was designed to. Which one will you try first?

Our Story

We are a family owned in Mayflower AR, in the heart of old Lollie Plantation. We named SalScilla Farms after 2 matriachs of our family. Judith’s Aunt Priscilla, and Tim’s mother Sally. We have both always had a love for the outdoors and “growing things”. We started with 7 acres and in 2013, we added 16 acres to our farm and began planted fruit trees and blackberries. We also added beehives at that time. Over the years we have added laying hens, more bees, strawberries, an orchard of peach, apple and pear trees, an assortment of flowers, vegetables & herbs & 180 head lettuce hydroponic system. In 2017, we had the opportunity to buy the acreage next door, which we scooped up. We are now a 50 acre farm growing premium hay, market vegetables, honey and eggs. In 2018 we added our first high tunnel and began learning about what will grow inside well; compared to outside of it. We have been a member of the Downtown Conway Farmers’ & Craft Market and in 2019 we both joined the board of the market. We enjoy growing that market as well as opening the farm for our customers to visit and pick up their produce & baked goods. Judith provides recipe cards with the produce and herbs we sell. We find people often want to cook, but just don’t know where to start. We try to make it easy for them; and will even bundle fresh herbs with a recipe card for them - they seem to love it! In 2019 we also took a large leap and added a 3400 SF premium high tunnel. This tunnel will allow us to bring even more produce to the early and late markets as well as local schools & restaurants. We commitment a percentage of our profits to Special Olympics of Arkansas and No Kid Hungry. We are a proud member of Arkansas Grown & Arkansas Made and a multi year participant of Southern SAWG. We have made a commitment to focus on quality vs quantity and are honored to be serving Faulkner & Pulaski counties. We hope you enjoy following along on our journey.
