I recently finished the Red Road River oracle deck. It is a deck based on my experiences of the red road for the last 40 years. I can’t wait for this to all come together. I have posted in the past a few of the card readings that will be in the card deck booklet. The artwork is complete and the printers have completed the printing on the decks and booklet. They will be here in days. I’m very excited to see all of my spiritual experiences come to fruition.

A SPIRITUAL REJUVENATION

The love I seek is already within. The spirit I seek is already within. The hope I seek is already within. The friend I seek is already within. Day by day we cultivate our own lives. And as we create it, it is simply not what we want. We seem to be very professional at building lives we don’t want. The crazy thing is. We’re building it. We are the masters of our own creation. It’s important to remember that the life we live just after we create, is subject to circumstances that we personally created for ourselves at that time due to the choices we make at that point in life.

Through our own creation, we build our personal life plan. To alter ourselves to the point of discomfort, we pave the way for change. Complacency is the biggest wall we must climb. Even if it’s uncomfortable, we’re more comfortable sitting in our own s**t than we are to make uncomfortable changes willingly that will become a better life for us.

These changes come through a place in our hearts that seem to hold pain and self worthlessness. Avoiding our personal feelings that hold the key to some form of spiritual rejuvenation. We ask Great Spirit to walk along the red road with us in a peaceful and spiritual manor. As life shows up in the perfect way that we have laid out, we start to realize that the spikes along this road, we placed there, we spent time sharpening them, then we impale ourselves with these same spikes. We will begin to see the patterns of our own personal universe unfolding before our very eyes. Question is , will we stop this personal spiritual destruction, or will we stop and look at the fact that we are the master manifestations of the mental crutch that we carved out of our favorite piece of willow tree. It’s time to stop the train of consequences and get off now. If we open our heart to others pain, try to help them, we finally realize that we are perfectly capable of seeing and feeling that we are in the powerful possession of everything we need to make these changes. Great Spirit, I will look no further for I am free to love.

DAMAGED ROOTS.

As kids we pick up habits and actions from others around us. Usually it’s the mother and father who begin this process. We watch their actions and we hear the things they say. Eventually based on what we see, hear , smell, touch, and feel, we begin building our human story. You know, the one we learned from other people, places, and things. As we get older we pick up on suttle things such as language and dialect. The way those in our daily live interact with us. We are literally teaching our young ones whatever it is that they are watching. If it’s spiritual they will become spiritual. If it’s violence they will become violent.

As we reach an age where we begin to start our own Fire we begin to put our own senses to work. Our whole existence will change. The way we learn something is hard to change such a deep rooted method of religious experience . It takes a great deal of time to be convinced that we must unlearn something that was based on someone’s else’s experience in life. The greatest day in anyone’s life is when we cut the cord that directly links us to any other persons personal experience so we can begin the process of building our own life with its own narrative.

Our story could have many endings. But if we continue to recall old information, we will continue to have the same outcome or results as those who taught us the path of life in the first place. We now begin to cut down the weeds of everything that we learned growing up. Our path and reality experience a hard shift. Is we start a habit of sitting quiet and listening to the four directions, we can start to build a life that we can call our own. The energy, power and wisdom will begin to flow like water.

Our spiritual life form may already have a direction of happiness and inner knowing. Most of us were brought into a forced religious experience and it has poisoned us because it was not our own experience with the creator. We very well may have to derail the train of other peoples thoughts and belief systems that are blatantly obviously failing us. We start to seek our own path of spirit or beliefs. Maybe that it’s simply to believe in nothing. That is also a choice.

When faced with spiritual changes at any age it is easy to get bogged down in a community belief system, when it’s not our own, or an original spiritual expression. Today, Great Spirit, I ask you to show me my my own personal spiritual walk of life. And if that changes, great. This is an ever changing red road and we’re all on one. Some come to an understanding of the creator and others may struggle with a series of rituals that are man made regeneration of old information at best. I ask you creator to help free me from the bo***ge of other peoples experiences and help me find the path that leads me to a deeper level of spiritual understanding.

JUST STOP SEEKING

Some time long ago we decided to make a lineal jump right into the very portal we call mother. This decision may have been made one thousand years ago, or simply that day. Maybe you and your great x10 grandmother we’re hanging out in the Spirit World and you both agreed that in a certain dimension, a certain linear timeline, the same month and year you would arrive in this world with a purpose.

Most of us can’t remember why we’re here until our death bed or in the most agonizing changes we have ever experienced. Then the memory gets jarred and maybe an old man makes amends to his son that he brutally abused his entire childhood. It may have been so that man could abuse him in order for him to finally realize that for centuries, he has caused grave danger to his family. He has been handed two gifts. One is the amends that he made to that young boy inside. This has the potential to heal 1000 years of pain to hear the abuser make true amends to him. The other gift is given to the abuser to simply sit and hear what the amends and healing is all about. In turn, we help the abuser heal.

We seek a life that is spiritual and loving. We seek the very essence of love. We begin to seek a love of life that we want to share with someone special. Maybe it’s a soul mate or twin flame. Someone that has the potential to love us through the end times. Which in turn means that they have the same ability to catch you on fire with one uncomfortable accusation that we were wrong about something. Then begins the seeking of relief from this sort of self propelled agony.

We seek joy. We seek friendship. We seek love. We seek a new career. We seek kids. We spend our whole lives seeking. Through this period we probably cause every single high class problem that we have ever aligned with our own attractiveness. And I’m not talking about makeup and braids either. I’m talking about the laws of attraction. The very law of life.

The moment we realize that this universal law will happen no matter if we want the activation of these laws or not. What really matters is that we try to hold back all the begging that we mistake for attraction. All those spoken prayers. You know. “Great Spirit, please provide me with that car or that man. Then we begin to feel the breakdown of the system we installed in our own lives. By our own manifestations. We ask Great Spirit to help take these issues back we once thanked him for, that we desperately prayed for, that were once such a blessing to now go away. Remember, we did ask for every single high class problem that we have been granted. Great Spirit had nothing to do with how we take such a blessing and make it a burden. For it was our seeking that placed us in line with these most precious gifts. The gift of desperation. The gift of surrendering to our own healing powers of love.

Great Spirit, today I will simply lay down my bow, my arrows, my weapons of mass depression. I will stop seeking the human fix. I will not seek today for what I want and need, because I already have it. That is the power to heal myself and help others achieve a level of this same surrender and freedom.

THE PURPOSE

It all starts with waking up. We may begin with a good cup of coffee. We start to unravel the nights dream. The first feelings of the day start to show. Sometimes good. Sometimes not so much. But that’s not all. We begin to see our day and how it’s beginning to line up. Like most people, we immediately look at the bringer of negativity, the old cell phone. We start to align with our heart beat and our breath. For those of us who just wake up and go, we should shift toward taking a few minutes to breathe. Some of us literally crawl out of bed as soon as we open our eyes. Feet on the floor while still sleeping. Our path is starting to take shape.

Collectively we all have a different regimen or daily routine. After that initial coffee or tea, we get moving. Usually for most of us it’s off to work. We do this day in and day out. It really never adds up to much other than the bills and all the high class problems that we ask for. You know. The men. The women. The cars. The house. Let’s not forget the kids. Oh noooo!! I left the kids at home. Gotta go back and retrieve them. Now their yelling. It all begins to take a toll on us. Deeply. Women are asked to do 10 things for the men. Men ask for the women to do things. Kids ask for fifty things. The truth is. We get lost in our on lives. Baffled by the grind of society and every little thing that kick our asses.

Finally we break down. Even if it’s a few tears in the shower. Maybe laying right next to someone we deeply love. We lay in pain facing our side of the bed secretly melting inside. What’s it all for. What’s the outcome. Most of us simple live like cattle, we forget to make our own bed. Our own purpose is lost in the dust clouds of our lives. The very thing we tried to build is not so perfect. We ask Great Spirit to send help. Maybe a friend to talk to. Maybe our lodge practices have fallen by the wayside. Our prayers have all been diminished to a fox hole prayer. “Please help me” may be the words that come out of us.

Our purpose is not to serve the wife. Or the husband. And absolutely not the kids. Our service has become a little more serve, than kindness and commitment. As we seek higher council with our mates or our friends. Maybe it’s time to get serious with our actual purpose and I assure you, it’s not to clean cook and do dishes for the family. I assure you, it’s not cutting grass and building things. Although that is actually part of it. But the same way we are mind, body and spirit. We are also able to have separate areas of our lives that are simply our time. The purpose of this life is happiness. Yet we choose to wallow in potty and shame way before we begin a road to lasting change. But that’s usually exactly what it takes to rattle our cages.

Great Spirit. I am stuck in a wheel of desire that has become a vehicle of selfish serving toward others and not my own spirit. Today I will take some time for me to work on my real purpose. I will share that purpose so others are aware of my spiritual changes toward fulfilling my purpose. Through these changes we become more efficient at that honey do list. So our life feels like we actually have more time to have our own purpose. We may find that all those things we we’re serving without a spiritual connection, may very well be our life’s purpose once we figure it all out.

PERFECT STRANGERS

We have all been in a situation where we briefly pass by someone who passes energy to us and we walk away smiling. Weather it was a brief eye contact. A moment of excitement between perfect strangers. A sign of total acknowledgement. That is always a good feeling.

When we feel a brush of good energy, we tend to gravitate to that feeling of connection. The feeling of what could have become of the two spirits coming together weather in a friendship or love affair. Great Spirit will put us in a place where we can feel the energy to feel another’s grace and presence. Maybe we feel compelled to smile at them. Maybe it’s a clothing item that we see them wearing. Maybe it’s a beautiful piece of jewelry. Maybe it’s their eyes, smile and their hair. It’s quite possible that they made someone laugh when it was obvious that they needed uplifting and it’s obvious that we also needed this inner peace that they may have brought to this person. What a great feeling we have.

The aligning of the spirits is a tricky thing. Maybe life is just so full of anything that we so desire. But what we may feel is a desire to feel the love, compassion, and just something new in our lives. We seek a friend in need. Or we are in need and seek a new friend. We may very well see a social media post. Someone reaching out in such a generic way that they also show a remorse for asking for help to simply smile again. Maybe they just feel lost, alone, and distant from those they love most. Maybe they are screaming at their companions for a deeper connection in love. Or maybe they feel alone in a room full of people that they know love them. But it just feels like it has for a while. They simply think your ok. But your not.

Great Spirit. Today I ask you to soften the blow of talking to a stranger for something uplifting. Something meaningful and full of purpose. Or simply they may have what it takes to make me smile. I ask for the perfect stranger to fulfill a notion of loneliness.

The Great AwAkening

There is a place in all of us that entertains negativity. It’s all around us. We may have an Experience that was very uncomfortable or was not to our liking. It brings out the two wolves. We may fall short in recognizing the individual spirits of each wolf and the personalities of them. Great Spirit will help guide us in a direction of a positive solution. We must become fully aware of our complete surroundings and what reality looks like in our life today. Not what we want it to be. This also includes other peoples energy that we choose to have in our lives.

Our awareness is very important to our spiritual conditioning. The same as our nutritional intake, our spiritual intake is how we condition ourselves to consume this world as we have laid it out for ourselves. We ask The Creator to show us the way. He always shows us the way through anything. The problem is that we sometimes choose to do things our way. Although, as we start to live a spiritual path we become complacent in our own bed of roses. Sometimes it’s comfortable and sometimes it’s just plain misery. We tend to “take it all back” and start running our own lives again. Causing discomfort in our lives, we start to feel the burn, and begin to become aware of our own shortcomings in a way we have never experienced. Some sort of desperation to change.

The gift of desperation always exposes a level of powerlessness in our lives. This is actually the perfect storm brewing in our guts. It allows our mind, body, and spirit to fully engage in a process of change. This is where we begin to firm up our spiritual foundation once again. The Red Road offers so many ways to get right with Great Spirit again. We engage in our own personal spiritual growth pattern. We begin to get humble in our decisions of change. We begin the great awakening.

FINDING MY TRUE SELF

From the moment we were conceived , we were conditioned to someone’s else’s liking. For it was dependent on our survival. Our mother was right there feeding us, loving us, conditioning us. Our very survival was dependent of that conditioning. We had no idea that when our spirit picked the mother portal, we knew it would be our portal for this time around. We were in our new place in the universe. Now we must find a true path in life.

As we grow into an adolescent, we learn language, food tastes, clothing, education and yes social conditioning. The moment we realize that we are an independent from our mother and father, and our immediate family, we begin the great disconnection between ourselves and the wolf pack. Although the wolf never leaves the pack, this separation is different. It’s as if we find a path that has never had a footstep on it. It’s been waiting on us our whole life. Now we take that first step alone. After all the lessons, all the teachings, all our mistakes that mom and dad will surely tell us about. This separation is the beginning to finding our true self. The one that’s been there all along, but we were too consumed with all the shinny things that come with a mother and fathers love, social conditioning and of corse all this ridiculous hoopla we call our learned life.

Finding our true self is not easy. We spend years learning about how other people treat us, but in such a painstaking experience, we start to disassociate with those who we’re not the friendliest. This also includes our parents. This is the exact reason a young person may want to fly the coup so young. Because their spirit wants to begin experiencing the ways of the world. The Lakota believe that this separation as a young person is where we begin to see our place in life. Although it’s all so confusing as to who, what and when we are. We start to break down the family, social, and our spiritual life. We start to dismantle all the pressure from others to be what and who they want us to be. It is possible where we start thinking of our spiritual conditioning. We start to call on Great Spirits love for us.

If your reading this, your in a place where you want change. But those changes are at best, challenging. Our walk looks messy. It looks as if we have no respect for the lessons our mother, father and village that taught us. This looks damaging but it’s simply the new unknown path of separation of all we have ever known to trade for the great unknown. This is where our finding of the true self begins. It begins in what looks like a series of mild storms to destructive tornados. But remember, this is the only way to finally, after grueling experiences, find the strength to break free. We begin finding our true selves.
