It has been a busy week for HOSA ILC in NASHVILLE! We have competed, attended workshop sessions, visited 150+ exhibitors in the HOSA EXPO. Logan, our state officer has attended voting delegate, candidate speeches, meet and greet, and business sessions. We had time to do a few museum tours such as the Ryman and Country Music Hall of Fame. Now we wait for awards sessions.
Extremely proud of how hard these students have worked throughout the year to develop their educational and leadership skills towards becoming health professionals.

APRIL 22nd - we will be hosting the Kentucky Blood Center for our 2nd blood drive this year!

Also, we will have Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck here that day for our high school students. (they accept cash or card). All donors receive a ticket for one $6 or under beverage of their choice for free.)

A senior in our biomedical capstone course has created a general flyer about the use of prescription and non-prescription drug use. She is collecting data to determine the need for resources in Mason County. If you don't mind, please complete the google form. Congratulations are in order for Aubrey Morton on winning an Ann Vescio Scholarship!! 👏🏅

This scholarship is awarded each year to help individuals who plan to pursue a degree in healthcare. Ann Vescio was foundational in the early years of Kentucky HOSA, established the 4-yr nursing degree at EKU, and played a vital role in expanding healthcare education here in Kentucky. This scholarship is awarded in her honor.
