Did you know we employ a fair amount of high schoolers? We are proud to be a part of helping to raise up a bunch of great young adults that are respectful, kind, considerate and enjoy serving our senior population. Sam has done an outstanding job of managing her roles as mother of 4, full-time employee, and part-time student to get to this point. We’re so proud of this huge accomplishment and wish her the best in her newest role as LPN here at Paramount!

Join us as we shine a spotlight on the incredible women who make our team at Paramount truly special! Meet Ronita, our amazing Admissions Manager, whose journey with Paramount is nothing short of inspiring.

Ronita’s connection to Paramount began in her childhood while visiting Piney Mountain, but it truly blossomed when she worked as a nurse case manager at Chambersburg Hospital, referring patients to us for rehabilitation and long-term care. Ronita shares that Paramount has played a pivotal role in her professional development, fostering an environment where she could set ambitious goals with unwavering support to achieve them.

When asked what she loves most about her role, Ronita said, "I cherish being one of the first connections to our facility. I get to showcase the warm, caring, and professional departments that help assist our residents and their families during what can be a stressful time." Her transition from a hospital-focused nursing career to long-term care has been seamless, thanks to the guidance and mentorship of our incredible team.

Ronita is particularly proud of her efforts in redesigning the admissions process to create a welcoming, resident-centered experience that informs all departments—a true testament to her collaborative spirit. She describes Paramount in three words: collaborative, innovative, and friendly.

To our new hires, Ronita offers sage advice: “Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Actively listen and seek out information. The culture of opportunity for growth, teamwork, and positivity here is remarkable!”

As we celebrate Women's Month, we’d love to hear about the women who have influenced your life and career. For Ronita, it’s the resilient women who refuse to give up, who stumble but rise again, and who chase their dreams with unwavering determination.

She acknowledges the challenges women in healthcare often face, emphasizing that many of these can be tackled by shifting our mindset. One of her significant battles was overcoming burnout; Ronita expressed, "As women, we strive to give 100% in every aspect of life, but balancing work and home is crucial." Throughout her career, she has adapted her work hours and roles to prioritize her life goals and maintain that essential balance.

To those interested in following in her footsteps, Ronita has this empowering message: “Dear friend, the path I chose to become a nurse has brought me immense fulfillment!
