Today we celebrated what would have been Elvis’ 91st birthday! We made Elvis collages, did some Elvis trivia/puzzles, and had an Elvis themed happy hour! Thanks to our amazing dietary team, we enjoyed grilled peanut butter banana sandwiches (Elvis’ favorite sandwich). It was fun day of remembering the King of Rock & Roll!

Betty’s knitting 101
Resident driven activities are encouraged here at Fishers. Betty was eager to teach her peers how to knit. She had 8 peers & 2 staff observing & trying to learn. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and they look forward to doing it again.

❄️❄️Snowmen melt our hearts ☃️♥️♥️
Residents created their own snowmen and snow families in a framed tabletop decoration for their room or to give to a friend. Crafting allows for socialization as well as opportunity to encourage others, boosting self esteem. Our projects also promote creativity, making choices, hand/eye coordination & finger dexterity.

🩵 McLaren Lapeer Region Celebrates New Year's Baby!

We are thrilled to announce the very first arrival of 2026! Meet Baby Justin Jr, affectionately known as JJ, who made his grand entrance on 1/1/26 at 3:23 p.m., weighing in at a healthy 7 lbs. 8 oz. Here he is, snuggled up with his proud parents, Justin and Ann.

In a delightful twist of fate, Ann and her twin sister were born at this same hospital, entering the world as babies #2 and #3 in 2000.

Congratulations to this wonderful family and we wish you a lifetime filled with joy and happiness! 💙

Our first happy hour of 2026 with Beatles music, cocktails, and a variety of games. We had 2 groups playing shut the box, another playing UNO attack, and a group learning to play dominoes. It was a fun afternoon for everyone.

Our afternoon consisted of a Christmas Party, Saran Wrap ball game, and the tv classic Rudolph!
We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as we did at Fishers.
