🩺 Meet The Physician 🩺

Meet Dr. Ty Dilley, Family Medicine Resident at MRHC. Dr. Ty Dilley may be new to McAlester, but he’s already making a big impact on the patients he serves in our Family Medicine Residency Clinic. As a licensed physician, Dr. Dilley provides *full-spectrum care—from newborns to grandparents—*and is training to serve patients of all ages, through every stage of life.

His passion for medicine started at a young age. “I was a rather ill child and was hospitalized several times,” he shares. “Those experiences shaped me and made me want to help others in the same way.” After years of dedication to his education, he earned his medical license earlier this year and is now proud to begin his career caring for the people of Southeast Oklahoma.

So far, his favorite part of rural medicine? “Everything. Nothing. All of the above,” he laughs. The truth is, Dr. Dilley loves the variety that comes with family medicine and the ability to build lasting relationships with patients. His go-to advice is simple but firm: 💪 “Exercise harder.” He knows that healthy habits are the foundation for a better quality of life.

When he’s not seeing patients, you might catch him around town mowing his lawn, browsing at Lowe’s, or volunteering with the Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps—an organization that steps in to provide medical care during crises across Oklahoma and surrounding states. He says the best part of living here is easy: “The people I work with are absolutely wonderful.”

Life outside of medicine is full and active. Dr. Dilley is a proud dad of two kids who keep him busy with farm adventures, home projects, and Friday night pizza-and-movie traditions. He doesn’t have pets (yet), though his children may have convinced him to add a fish to the household. He also enjoys traveling, weekend getaways, and admits to being a bit of a house-plant caretaker 🌱.

What might surprise people? Dr. Dilley has been practicing jiu jitsu since 2013 and has even grappled with professional MMA fighters 🥋. If he weren’t a doctor, you might find him scuba diving on a tropical beach somewhere. For now though, he’s happy to be right here—building a life and a career in McAlester.

We’re proud to have Dr. Dilley on our team of physicians at MRHC. His passion for medicine, commitment to his patients, and down-to-earth personality make him a wonderful addition to our community. 💙

🎉 Welcome, ARCOM Medical Students!

We are thrilled to welcome the 2025–2026 ARCOM medical students to our site! 🩺✨ Our amazing GME Student Coordinator, Crystal Foster, hosted a warm and informative orientation to help kick off their training journey.

As a core training site, we are honored to be part of their path over the next 12 to 24 months, supporting their growth, learning, and success in medicine. 💙

We’ve had an incredible two weeks welcoming our new Family Medicine interns! 🩺✨ From orientation sessions and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications 🧠💉 to celebrating our outgoing PGY-3s at graduation 🎓 — and topping it all off with a welcome pool party 🏖️🎉 — it’s been a whirlwind of excitement and growth.

Our Program Director, Dr. Lori Peters, opened orientation day with a warm welcome to our new interns, setting the tone for a supportive and engaging year ahead. 👏💬

Gayla Beaty, GME Director, led an impactful session on professionalism, policy, and expectations, while Crystal Foster provided in-depth training on New Innovations to help our interns get started on the right foot. 🧑‍🏫📊

We were also joined by our Chief Resident, Dr. Stephen Feery, and Junior Chief Resident, Dr. Colton Smith, who closed out the day with a helpful overview of what to expect in the coming months. 👨‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

We’re so thankful for our incredible residents and the leadership team that supports them every step of the way 🙌💙 Here’s to a fantastic academic year ahead! 📅🌟

Days one and two of our 2025 Wellness Event have been filled with sunshine, swimming, and nonstop laughter. What makes it even more special? This team truly enjoys being together—something rare and meaningful in medical training. Hospital Leadership even brought us dinner, and we couldn’t be more grateful. These are the moments that remind us we’re more than just a residency program—we’re a family.”
