Visitors and staff, please be advised for the upcoming construction on the intersection in front of our building. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, February 2nd, around 8am. Please use an alternative route to get to our facility.
One alternative route: if utilizing the highway; go to the second red light by Casey’s and take a right on Hardy Springs Road, turn right on Douglas Ave and go all the way to 14th Street and take another right.
The City of McAlester is advising motorists of a temporary street closure at South 14th Street and U.S. Highway 69 beginning 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, to allow contractors to install a sewer line serving a new 7 Brew location.
South 14th Street will be closed at its intersection with U.S. Highway 69 for a minimum of seven days to accommodate pipe installation, surface replacement and required curing time. During this period, traffic will not be able to access South 14th Street from U.S. Highway 69.
Motorists needing access to Walnut Grove Nursing Home will be required to approach from the north along South 14th Street. No utility service outages are expected as part of the work.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution in the area while construction is underway.
