At just 39, Jessica is walking one of the hardest paths life can give—but she's doing it in a way that only she could: with fierce strength, wicked humor, and authentic resilience.
Even in the last few weeks Jessica has still been finding ways to lift the people around her, and yes—even still talking about Halloween like it’s a national holiday. She has always loved the spooky season, the costumes, the creepy decorations, the haunted vibes—because it’s the perfect match for her sense of humor.
She once asked her hospice social worker what she could give her as a thank-you—or a token to show her appreciation for the support and simply showing up—all while she was the one facing the unimaginable. That’s Jessica; always thinking about how to make others feel valued.
Cancer may have touched her body, but it has never touched her soul. Through pain, through uncertainty, through every hard day, Jessica continues to fight but she’s not just fighting—she’s teaching us what true resilience looks like. She has reminded us all that being strong doesn’t mean being unbreakable. It means choosing to live fully in the face of heartbreak. It means holding space for laughter and for tears, for grace and for grit. It means continuing to be yourself, no matter what life tries to take.
Jessica’s life is not defined by her diagnosis—it’s defined by her love, her courage, and the way she’s made all of us better just by being a part of her life. ❤️
