Are you a (Stay-at-Home Mom)?
Sometimes it can feel like our role isn’t as valuable as that of a working mom—especially if we once were one ourselves. The transition can be quite an adjustment. We may even start to wonder if we’re still being “effective”... but that couldn’t be further from the truth!
We are making a difference—every single day. Each time we show up for our children, we’re walking in our God-given purpose. Every time we go to war for them in prayer, every time we take up the sword of the Spirit and remind the darkness who we are in Christ, every time we teach and lift them up to build in the faith—cultivating their giftings... we ARE fulfilling our divine calling as mothers. Not only are being the hands and feet of Jesus, but also His mouthpiece... what an honor!!!!
Motherhood moves in seasons, and each one requires its own kind of grace and adjustment. Somehow, we always find a way to make those transitions easier for our children. Every time they cling to us, every time they talk endlessly about the little things, what they’re really saying is, “Mom, I trust you.” Believe me when I say , they love to see us 1st thing in the morning, and last when they go to sleep, they know we are someone they can reply on and someone that will be there for them, as long as we live, we will be.
You are doing holy, Kingdom work—right there in your home.
Never forget: the enemy of our souls loves to whisper lies that make us feel small or insignificant. But raising a child—raising a soldier for the Kingdom of Heaven—is one of the most important callings there is. You are shaping the next generation of Moseses, Elijahs, Johns, Jeremiahs, Isaiahs, Nehemiahs, Joshuahs, Pauls....
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
Proverbs 31:27-29
So stand tall, Beloved Mama, do not take your work lightly. Heaven sees you, and all of Heaven cheers you on. đź©·
