Graciela Gonzalez McNeely
June 11, 1963
Graciela Gonzalez McNeely was born on June 11, 1963, in Fresno, California, and raised in Mission, Texas, where she was lovingly brought up by her grandparents, Jose and Julia Trevino. She came from humble beginnings, but carried within her a powerful determination to grow, to thrive, and to become the very best version of herself. She saw beauty and possibility in the world, and she worked hard to build a life she was proud of.
She was the beloved daughter of Angelita Trevino and the late Sigifredo Gonzalez, and shared an extraordinarily close bond with her sister, Angelita “Angie” Brigle, a relationship that was one of the great loves of her life.
Graciela was known for her beauty, her confidence, and a radiant presence that could light up any room she entered. Crowned homecoming queen and admired by many, she grew into a remarkable businesswoman, driven by ambition, strength, and an unshakable resilience that defined everything she did.
Yet of all her accomplishments, her greatest joy was always her family. She was a devoted and deeply loving mother to Dominick, Noelani, Demi, and Bianca. Her children were her world, and she poured her whole heart into being the best mother she could be. She cherished every moment in her role as grandmother to Noah, Ashton, Justin, Benicia, Branson, and Bella, loving each of them with a fierceness and tenderness that they will carry with them always.
Graciela was married to her late husband Joe McNeely, and later found her forever love and life partner in David Carrales, with whom she shared a deep and meaningful bond.
Lovingly known as “Gracie,” she was full of laughter, boldness, and honesty, a woman who always spoke her truth and lived life unapologetically and with passion.
One of her most beloved sayings was to “put your big panties on” and keep going, a reminder to those she loved that no matter what life brought their way, they had the strength to face it. She believed it with everything she had, and she lived it that way too.
Gracie had a heart of gold. She loved deeply, gave endlessly, and made sure that everyone around her felt seen, valued, and loved. Her kindness, her generosity, and her extraordinary gift for lifting others up will never be forgotten. She embraced life fully, loved shopping and the finer things, but what she treasured most was making memories and being present with the people she loved, always reminding them that tomorrow is never promised.
During her courageous battle with a rare brain infection, Gracie was surrounded by unwavering love. Her daughters Noelani and Demi stood by her side every step of the way, showing incredible strength, compassion, and selflessness in caring for their mother. Together with Angie and Michael Brigle, they ensured she was always held in love, comfort, and dignity throughout her journey. Michael was one of Gracie’s reasons to smile from ear to ear and grew such a special bond during her health journey.
She is now reunited in heaven with her father, Sigifredo Gonzalez; her husband, Joe McNeely; her beloved son, Dominick; and her grandparents, Jose and Julia Trevino.
Graciela is lovingly remembered by her sister Esther Harms who was her baby sister that had a special bond with , alongside her siblings : Raul Gonzalez, Thelma Garcia, Willie Trevino, and , along with her dear aunts Umbelina Cremer, Tia Maria, Tia Irma, and Tia Lesvia, all of whom held a treasured place in her heart.
Graciela Gonzalez McNeely will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her legacy of love, strength, and resilience, and her unforgettable spirit, will live on forever through her children, her grandchildren, and every life she touched.
