🃏📚 Happy National “According to Hoyle” Day! 📚🃏
Today at McAllen Transitional Care Center, we're tipping our hats to rules, fair play, and a little history with National According to Hoyle Day!
But what does that mean? 🤔
The phrase “According to Hoyle” comes from Edmond Hoyle, an 18th-century expert on card games. His name became a symbol for doing things “by the book” — following the official rules, whether in games or in life!
We celebrated with a few friendly rounds of cards and board games — played by the rules, of course 😉 — and had a great time sharing laughs, strategy, and a little bit of good old-fashioned fun.

Today at McAllen Transitional Care Center, we take a quiet moment to honor the beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge — our faithful companions, our furry family members, and our forever friends.
Whether it was a dog’s wagging tail, a cat’s comforting purr, or the joyful energy of any animal that brought love into our lives, their memory lives on in our hearts. ❤️
Many of our residents shared beautiful stories about the pets they’ve loved and lost — moments filled with laughter, a few tears, and deep gratitude for the unconditional love those animals gave so freely.
