It's Your Journey Mental Health/Consulting Services We provide a safe space for children, teens, young adults, and adults struggling with emotional, mental, or behavioral health.

Every therapist has a counseling philosophy. My philosophy is that I don’t give advice; I make suggestions and recommendations based on the information you, the client, share in a session. Exploring the past can be a stepping stone to reach your mental health goal. However, we will not dwell on the past because life happens in the present. We are on this journey together, and as a team, we will explore what skills and strategies best fit you on this journey. Before identifying the necessary tools, we will explore the hurdles, barriers, and experiences keeping you from enjoying everyday activities. As a team and through collaboration, we will explore your unhealthy thinking habits or NATS (negative automatic thoughts) that may keep you from being your best version. I firmly believe in “after therapy activities” (ATA), the homework I assign after every session; without action, there is no change, hence why ATAs are essential to your journey. My clinical approaches are diverse and range from several theories and therapeutic thoughts such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, MBSR, MBCT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Once you make it the right time, it will always be the perfect time to begin your therapeutic journey. It only takes one step, followed by another, to initiate a new beginning.
