Did you know babies aren’t born with all of their sinuses?

👶 At birth, babies only have maxillary (cheek) and ethmoid sinuses — and they’re very small.
👦 Around age 6–7, the frontal sinuses (forehead) begin to develop.
🧑 By the teenage years, the sphenoid sinuses are fully formed.
✨ Full adult sinus development is typically complete by the late teens.

Your heart and your sinuses may seem worlds apart… but they’re more connected than you think.

Did you know?

🔹 Some over-the-counter decongestants (especially those with pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine) can raise blood pressure and increase heart rate.
🔹 Chronic nasal congestion can affect sleep quality — and poor sleep is linked to high blood pressure and heart strain.
🔹 Struggling to breathe properly at night may trigger episodes of rapid heart rate (tachycardia) in some patients.

If you have high blood pressure or heart concerns, it’s important to talk with your provider before taking certain allergy or sinus medications.
