No todos los niños crecen al mismo ritmo, pero hay señales que no deben pasarse por alto. Comparar con otros niños o “esperar a que dé el estirón” puede retrasar una evaluación oportuna.

Cuando el crecimiento se desvía de lo esperado para su edad o antecedentes familiares, es importante valorarlo a tiempo. Un diagnóstico temprano permite identificar si se trata de una variante normal o si existe una condición que requiere seguimiento o tratamiento.

En crecimiento, el tiempo sí importa.

Nuts, raisins or fruits that have been candied, crystalized, glazed or coated with chocolate, yogurt or caramel.
Sweetened drinks, including nonalcoholic beverages made with water that contain 5 grams or more of added sugar or any amount of artificial sweetener.
