Located in the McBain Professional Building in downtown McBain, just 10 miles east of Cadillac. Dr. Jeffrey T. Gischia is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic and is proud to be part of a strong family history of chiropractors. Dr. Gischia is a 3rd generation chiropractor whose roots date back to his grandfather, Dr. Lester O. Anderson, who graduated from P.C.C. in 1939. Dr. Gischia and his wife, Debbi, chose McBain to open an office because they had previously been blessed with visiting the area, saw the need for a family-oriented chiropractic practice and decided this was a great place to raise their own children. Many years later, they have a thriving practice and have introduced many people in the areas to the undeniable benefits of including chiropractic care as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Stages of Spinal Degeneration
PHASE ONE:
The misalignment of the spine is usually the start of degeneration. Usually this exists without warning or symptoms.
PHASE TWO:
Bone spurs and rough edges develop on the vertebrae as a result of calcium growth. Normal joint movement is impaired. Pain or other symptoms may or may not be present at this phase.
PHASE 3:
Many years of neglect can result in a fusion of spinal segments. Permanent nerve damage, reduced mobility, and impaired function often result.

Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know that chiropractic treatment can provide relief to pregnant women? In fact, some chiropractors have undergone special training and focus on helping women cope with the strains and stresses that growing a baby puts on the body. Misalignments in the pelvis can reduce the amount of space the baby has in the womb and can also cause complications with delivery.

Aside from that, chiropractic treatment can help reduce nausea, relieve back and neck pain, and even reduce the chances of having to deliver by C-section
