Exciting news for Valley and Adams County summer dwellers! 🚲

The Payette Lakes Ski Club is applying for a
2026 Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation
Recreational Trails Program Grant. Public comments are requested to be submitted with the application for funding.
The application will request funds to support new trail construction at Little Ski Hill. The Idaho
Department of Parks and Recreation administers the Recreational Trails Program (RTP), a federally
funded program that supports both motorized and
non-motorized recreation trails across the state of
Idaho. RTP funding is derived from federal gas tax revenue that is returned to the state for recreational trail development and maintenance.

If awarded, the grant funds would support the construction of a multi use trail network at Little Ski
Hill, including new cross country trail segments and downhill flow trails. The project is intended to
expand year round recreation opportunities and improve trail connectivity at the site.
The Payette Lakes Ski Club will be partnering with the Central Idaho Mountain Bike Association on trail
planning and construction. The project also includes in kind equipment support from the One Track
Mind Foundation to assist with trail construction activities.
Public comments in support of this application are welcome and may be submitted as part of the
grant package.

Sunday eve in McCall was a clear cold winter night with stars and a partial moon that is heading towards full. 🌖

The loose surface snow is still forming corduroy after running the snowmobile around the skate lane. Even after almost three weeks since the last snow came down, Nordic skiing is very good at Bear Basin Nordic Center. Morning temperatures will be cold but it will bequite moderate winter conditions by mid-day. Blue sky skiing is queued up for the day. Happy Monday!

Payette Lakes Ski Club is sad to announce the start of our 2026 Town Race League series is going to be delayed. We are hoping that we are able to eventually host our Tuesday night series this season. For the time being, due to little snow coverage we cannot safely hold this community event at Little Ski Hill.
Our first week was scheduled to kick off Tuesday, Feb. 3rd. This date along with registration has been postponed to an unknown later time.

We are ultimately waiting for more snow to cover our slopes. Thank you for your continued support and patience.

🚨Call to arms. Help us hold the T•Bar line!
Volunteer Day this Saturday, January 24th at LSH.

We’re hanging in there but need a little help to get through this dry spell. Looking for Volunteers from Noon - 4pm. Work for 10 minutes or longer, any amount of time makes a difference! We will be cutting brush and shoveling snow onto thin spots on the T•Bar line, Main Run and Base Area. Bring shovels, loppers, skis, boards or anything to assist you maneuver in snow.

Help us keep the dream alive for our After School Program and our patrons enjoying the Little Ski Hill!

Our 2026 After School Program kicked off this last week. We had a great time hosting our local youth. Kids were stoked to be back on snow! 🎿🏂
Reminder that tomorrow, Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Busses will not run for ASP. Please arrange alternate transportation.

We survived this past week of warm temps, but are still operating the T•Bar on limited hours:
Monday 1.19.26 - Thursday 1.22.26 // 3:30-5:45pm
Lodge will be open until 6pm.

2026 After School Program week #1 is here and Taco Tuesday is back! Game on. Come celebrate the first official turns of our 88th season at Little Ski Hill.
