How many runners do we have here?

Too many people let fear of being slow or not “good enough” stop them from even starting. They compare themselves to elite athletes or faster runners and convince themselves it’s not worth lacing up if they can’t match that level. But here’s the reality: showing up matters more than speed. Every time you step outside for a run, you’ve already won you’ve chosen action over excuses, progress over comfort, growth over stagnation.

Running isn’t about proving yourself against others; it’s about proving to yourself that you have the discipline to keep going. Whether you’re running a 6-minute mile or a 12-minute mile, you’re still covering the same distance, still building strength, and still pushing your limits. The clock may measure pace, but it can’t measure the courage it takes to show up when it would be easier to stay home.

The slowest runner on the road is still moving faster than everyone sitting on the couch. That effort compounds over time, turning into resilience, confidence, and breakthroughs you never thought possible. So forget about speed, forget about judgment remember that every step you take forward is a step ahead of where you were yesterday.

Real health is not about gimmicks it’s about consistency, balance, and evidence-based habits.

By focusing on nutrition, movement, sleep, and self-care, we can build wellness that lasts. Health isn’t something that can be hacked, it’s earned through steady daily choices.

Welcome to VGA Strength & Conditioning.

I am a fitness professional who believes in developing relationships through trust, respect, and commitment. My philosophy is a holistic approach to fitness, which reflects my beliefs, concepts, and attitudes towards fitness and the way I educate individuals.

A holistic approach means thinking about the big picture of fitness, health, and wellness. I believe to become successful in helping individuals address their needs, a fitness professional needs to look at the whole person, including their physical, mental, and emotional health while taking social factors into consideration.

I am not a specialist in the sense of a competitive powerlifter, weightlifter, or bodybuilder. For those seeking only conditioning for aesthetics, I cannot offer you a quick solution but the tools and education for solving the issue.

As a fitness professional, I know success amounts to focusing on the five main components of fitness. The five components are nutritional assessments, strength conditioning, aerobic conditioning, movement, and education.
