Tri-State Therapeutic Riding Center Tri-State Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine assisted activities and therapies to individuals of all ages with various disabilities.

Our programs include:

• Reinbow Riders: Therapeutic riding for individuals with special needs
• Taking the Lead: Equine-assisted learning program for at-risk youth
• Horses for Heroes: Therapeutic riding for disabled veterans
• Reinbow Rehabilitation: Hippotherapy for physical therapy patients
•Therapeutic Driving: Carriage driving for individuals with special needs
• All-Abilities Summer Camps: Summer camp for all ages & abilities
• Special Olympics: Hosts Area 4 & the 2014 TN State Special Olympics

We are thankful to Cleveland Equine Medical Center and to Chattanooga State pre-vet students for putting on an annual vet clinic. Students are getting vocational training opportunities with our herd and our horses are recieving annual care free of charge to our center. It is a pleasure to collaborate with community partners!

TSTRC proudly logs 450 volunteer hours monthly. Our dedicated team gives there time helping in sessions, feeding and caring for our herd, working on our facility, helping administratively and more! This dedication from the community helps lower our operating costs and keep services affordable!

Therapeutic carriage driving creates deep and meaningful opportunities for students to “find their voice,” developing both verbal and nonverbal communication with their equine partners. It provides an outlet to practice cooperation, empathy, and rapport-building. Our programs are designed to support physical, social, and cognitive growth. Through this experience, students also develop a meaningful understanding of cause and effect by seeing how their actions create reactions.
